Richmond will win becaue they want to.

North are probably smarter in terms of draft picks.

Melbourne are almost guaranteed to lose to Port, for the same reason.

You should go read an article written by D.Bourke and listen to the comments made by Paul Roos. Richmond wins to get 9th place means nothing at all. Always give false hope for the year after, its happened the last 10 plus years. Yet the supporters still hold onto hope. Just learn to shut up and your time will come.
By 'the last 10 years' I assume you mean three times in the last 10 years but hey, why let the truth get in the way of a good story?
Hope is the whole basis of football supporting but yeah, we should probably stop hoping.
Stop discussing footy and 'our time will come?' Interesting concept. I thought the whole point of BF was to talk about your team and footy in general. And if you mean we shouldn't talk our team up in the off-season, most Richmond supporters have had their expectations either exceeded or at least met - wouldn't say we were talking our team up.

With all our outs Richmond should win this. Plus they deserve to finish 9th, it's their destiny and North Melbourne would be pricks to stand in the way of that.

i am 1 tip ahead of my boss going in to this round. i have tipped north & melbourne while he has tipped richmond & port. i am a richmond supporter by the way. who likes my chances?
:)

Tigers fans in this thread reminiscent of the bloke looking for a fight down at the pub. A tad touchy aye? I think Richmond will win, we're missing 3/5's of our first choice midfield and the tigers are up and about. Bit of a joke to suggest Richmond have had a better season than us whatever the result though.

If we wanted to have a fight down at a pub, we would pick a more significant target than North Melbourne.

Pretty insignificant club in my opinion.

Also this excuses for missing players by your supporters is laughable. It's Round 24, majority of clubs are missing vital players.

And also on the season, we both had about the same type of seasons, good patches with some bad patches.

I'm confident my club is in good hands and on the right track. Couldn't care less about North Melbourne. Let's just get this game over and look forward to next season.

Either way, hope it's a fair dinkum battle. Never like seeing my club lose and I hope the game is as entertaining as the final round in 2010 between Roos and Dees.

Tiges should win considering the outs in the Kangas midfield; usually where the game is won/lost and we're pretty much full strength in the middle.

On a lighter note, will there be more than 2,000 North supporters there? ;)

GO TIGES!!!

Sorry pal I would have thought that winning more games than you including beating you twice if we win tonight is having a better year. Not to mention doing it with younger players.....

Looks like the excuses are already flowing from the North fans...

Usually they wait until after the result to begin rolling them all out. You can tell they must be in some strife when they are already making a long list of them before a ball is even bounced.

Will be a great achievement from the Tigers to win this afternoon and finish 9th (after 15th last season) and ahead of the likes of North Melbourne & Melbourne who both have very highly inflated opinions of themselves, especially prior to this season beginning...

Yet one that has had so much for success than yours in the last three decades.

i can't see how it can be considered a successful season when we lost "home games" to port & gold coast ... these late season "junk time" wins mean very little to me!

I think the junk time stuff is being overdone a bit:

1. Beat Melbourne when they were still a chance for finals. Even there players were coming out and still talking about the possibility.

2. Sydney - Again beat Sydney when they were still trying to secure a finals spot. We almost ruined this for them.

3. Adelaide - Granted Adelaide are a nothing win but so has every other win against Adelaide by the other 16 teams in the comp this year. it was a good win because we came back from 5 goals down to win comfortably.

The win is extremely important to sponsors and maintaining our record membership numbers and gaining new members and sponsorship. It's important for a young group to see their hard work shows on the score board. 15 th to 9th is a strong improvement in a young group. It's important to take that into next year. The young group will alo know that they have beaten teams above them in the eight your alwys more moivated when you think your close. If North lose today they wont have beaten anyone above them or shown any real improvement in a year many people , me included had them pushing into the eight.

north got off 2 a really bad start 2 the season ... neither of the posts above have addressed the embarrassing losses to port & gold coast!

So tell me , seems like the tigers really want this win, north not so much.... about to change my tip something i rarely ever do.

Can somebody make a good case for north ?

Two things I will say about this theory,
1. While port is winning and on top if Melbourne had kicked straight they would be well in front.
2. Its rawlings last game and north often get up for players last games.

My concern for north is in the midfield with their outs...

The Roos 6 points and 14% = better year than the Tigers. Also losing to Suns and Port should knock any debate on the head.
