Just seen the dusty incident with the suns player deliberately punching the ball over the goal line now that right there and then proves we get umpired differently than any other team if that was any other team especially the bullfrogs that would have been paid 100 percent guaranteed this is what is pissing me off about afl I am losing interest very quickly

We simply can’t lose this at the MCG. It would be Hardwick’s worst loss ever in his Richmond tenure and our second worst lost this millennium (Only behind the 222-65 loss against Geelong in 2007). It’d be even worse that the Karmichael Hunt game, our first Gold Coast game, the Port Adelaide 2011 loss, and the Tom Hafey tribute game loss.
Seriously, West Coast are sitting 18th for a very good reason. They have 26 fit players at the moment on their entire list and are limiting training because of injuries. They’re also getting smashed every week in the AFL and WAFL because of it.
But I’m confident we won’t lose because our organisation knows how unacceptable that would be. Also, we usually smash a team that plays us in such a bad form. Richmond by 40+ points. If we’re serious about getting our season on track though, then we need to win by 90+ points like we did against them last year. I’m not very confident of a smashing given our forward woes, but I am confident of a win regardless of what our changes are this week.

I'm thinking it might be time to give Banks a go on the wing. There are still question marks on his game, but he's been pretty consistent on the VFL. Probably should have done it last week instead of playing Sonsie out of position in that role.
Wouldn't mind seeing Pickett trialled up forward again, purely out of desperation because we have no small forwards.

or it could give the players some confidence and build off that to reset our season.
Sonise and Clarke out, both need to go and play 120 minutes of hard football to get their game up and running.
Cotchin for sub, or MacIntosh could have a week as a sub.
Dow deserves a go far more than a few others as he has gone back and did what was asked of him and is in good form. And he has something we need at the moment, a bit of spark around the ball.

I don't want to see Miller play another game for Richmond.
He's a ballerina pretending to be a football player. Scratch that, a ballerina would probably be more classy with their performance than Miller. He just doesn't do anything well.
Up forward he doesn't kick goals.
In the ruck he is monstered and given a spanking by other ruckman. He doesn't do the dirty follow up work that Nank does once the ball gets to ground.
He doesn't have enough footy IQ to be a backman and read the play or generate offence.
He's like RCD, he teased us with a few nice plays but when put up against it in the Brisbane final he crapped his pants. Granted, a couple others crapped their pants in the final he is just not a football player.
We have Bauer who contests everything in the air.
We have Braedtke who looks way more imposing as a forward.
The Twig Samson Ryan at least kicks it between the big sticks instead of out on the full.
Time to move Miller on, we've given him enough time to prove himself in the 1s.

Worse than that was the amount of HTB non call prior opportunity decisions we didn't get in the 2nd half. 23,500 of us Richmond fans could see them at the ground except for the 4 field umpires. Our fans were going off their dial at the non calls.

We’re a confidence team, so a good win (by a big margin) will usually be enough to get us on track and playing well again.
Only year I recall that not working since 2013 was in 2021 when we beat St Kilda by 86 points and did not build upon it. But we had Premiership fatigue that year.
Agree with this. Need to try it. Short and Baker’s best position is half back. Rioli obviously best there too but he is actually a chance kick goals if he plays forward. . Sick of playing forwards who are unlikely to actually kick any - MRJ, Pickett, balta, Mansell, Cotchin, Baker and Short.

The umpiring is turning me towards the NRL and I'm sure the diehards in that league hate the way the refs go on but I don't care. I'm enjoying that cooky sport atm because I don't know enough about the rules to know when someone's being ripped off.
