Umm the main channel is in HD now.
7mate got shifted to SD and 7HD relaunched months ago.

Jim Wilson is terrible. The way he talks is annoying, he looks dishevelled, and sometimes he can't even read what's on the screen.

For regular non-Olympics, Mate was on the HD channel for Sydney. I was able to watch a few footy games in HD on that before it got switched to Olympic mode. I assume it will go back that way after the olympics.

Streaming the seven coverage on their website... currently 72 is showing some US TV Show and it's got me wondering if we can stream the football on the go this weekend?

If its like the live streaming through their normal website, then no. 7 don't have the digital rights, so can't stream it over the internet
A full review/investigation of Channel 7's Olympic coverage needs to be completed. Channel 7 or an independent body needs to start reviewing this shamozzle as soon as the Closing ceremony is over.
They pay top dollar for the rights but treat their viewers like fools.
I know people will say who cares and there are more important things to review...but honestly this is a pinnacle sporting event that is broadcast in an amateur effort and poorly by Channel 7.
Negatives:
-Overuse of Basil
-Replays of other events whilst live sports are in action
-Not having Hamish/Mel/Amanda live in Rio (Having them in Sydney was a bad call)
-Technical difficulties with much publicised Ch7 $20 app.
-Squeezing too many ads in (like in between 100/200mt heats)
-Cringey post event interviews with Athletes. Still have them but ask relevant questions.
-Using the rear camera angle to show ass of Mel. I'm sure the male audience don't mind but I'm surprised in this social media era that it hasn't been mentioned or Rita/Susie haven't written an article about it.
-Scheduling of what events they put to air. Need more commication between 7/7two /7mate. Awkward moments of same sport/pre recorded segments on two channels at once.
-Buzz from Brazil segment.
-ZUMBO.

I haven't really had any issues with the app, although the lack of commentary can be frustrating if you're watching a sport you have no idea about.

That is a positive not a negative!
Honestly the two worst things about the coverage or things that piss me off the most.
That Buzz from Brazil is the most diabolical, awkward, cringey, unfunny piece of shit segment that I have probably seen in my entire life, seriously it is that bad.
The constant ads for their shows that they are continually pushing into my face every 2 minutes, t.v that I have absolutely zero interest in and won't watch a second of.
Zumbo's bullshit desserts, sorry but **** no.
Australia's Cheapest Weddings or some bullshit like that, haha **** off seriously.
Some other bullshit show they are constantly promoting as well also get's a massive get ****ed.
They have ****ed the coverage up big time imo and agree with pretty much all your points, I've heard about the app disaster and they just haven't covered the events well at all really.

Although I still have a few complaints about the Olympic coverage in general , I've really enjoyed the aths coverage this Olympics, the Colbert Hooker duo in particular is good.

7Olympics Facebook says on Ch7 at 8am.
The other Semi Final, USA v Spain, begins at 4:30am AEST on 7mate and switches to 7 for the second half.
