i dont mind it. i mean i find it annoying but at least it shows passion in the sport. prefer that side effect than Basheer reading odd names and Basil reading off great starts.

Having three FTA channels for the Olympics is a big plus. I remember hours and hours of gymnastics on the TV from past Olympics - thankfully, no more. On the whole I give 7 the thumbs up. Some good commentary (athletics especially) and a minimum of cheerleading.

The commentator in the kayaking just called one of the teams "the Czechoslovakians". Czechoslovakia only got dissolved 23 years ago, cant expect him to be up to date with that.
In Bruce's defence usain bolt is a once in a generation and then some athlete, hope Jamaica smash the relay as well and bolt goes 9 from 9.
To be fair, Hooker isn't really a "find" at these Games.
He has done commentary work before - including for Ch10.

Because games like golf and tennis were brought in to the Olympics because they are popular sports so they were always going to get good coverage. (I actually enjoy the golf but don't think it should be in the Olympics).
