I was talking about Fergus Watts.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fergus_Watts

Played all of 5 senior games for the Crows in two seasons, and as a supposed forward kicked a grand total of two (2) goals in the AFL.

"including a 10 goals haul for Woodville-West Torrens in the 2005 SANFL semi-final"

Played one game for the Saints, and then was dropped.

"Although returning to the VFL in the latter half of 2007 he was unable to break into the Saints senior side. At the end 2007 he was delisted by the club."

Finished his AFL career playing in the VFL, unable to break in to the Saints side.

So who exactly was this "awesome" player named Watts you were talking about?

Topped the VAFA goal kicking this year on basically no training. His legs are kaput and probably will be forced into retirement at the tender age of 23 (22?). Incidentally, he broke his leg at St Kilda as well which Wikipedia, despite it's Oracle like wisdom and unquestionable references, failed to mention. At least in your post.

Not sure awesome would be the word I would use, but unfortunately he never had the chance to show his full potential like many before him and no doubt many since. You can't help bad luck.

Most people are mentioning players from their own clubs.
It would be nice to see some unbias opinions in this thread or maybe a mention about another player from an opposing club.
Masten or Callan Ward

Callan Ward would be my bet great decision maker, beautiful skills classy player who can win his own ball watch out for him in 09

I did not.. there my predicitons.
Patrick Dangerfield will be a great player for the club although Taylor Walker will kick 50+ goals this season.
Dangerfield will be a Joel Selwood in 2010 :thumbsu:

seemingly biased predictions. buddy franklin wasnt able 2 kick 50 until his 3rd year at age 20 and you seem 2 think walker can do it at a younger age? very interesting. still, your entitled to your opinion as unlikely as it may be.
