Hey mate,
I have tried to keep a track this month, but I work a pretty time consuming job, so I haven't had a chance to collate my results (very poor form on my behalf) When I get some spare time I will get onto it
As for my background.... I don't really have one TBH, not in the industry anyway. I'm a journalist who just loves horse racing.
You probably would have later in the day... Although It wasn't a bad start and Okay Oky only got done by about half a head.
Thanks Snipes.. Actually when you get a chance send me a PM! it's been a while!
Agree Sharkie isn't bad.. While Deane Lester is a machine.
I agree. Have always wondered where they get their selections from. Back as an underager with VERY LITTLE interest in the horses, I followed them on major cup days. Got destroyed.
I remember when i was a youngster 15-16 i used to collate all ten 'expert' tipsters and have a 3-2-1 system and back the one with the most points. I wondered for months what was going wrong until the realisation that they are pathetic lonely old men and would be so far behind in their lifetime that even with a calculator they would have trouble working out how far!. So from that day (15 years ago) i dont think ive even bothered looking at them even in passing, i couldnt even tell you who the tipsters are nowadays but i bet my last dollar that nothing has changed.
I will give them one leg up and that is that it is a lot harder to back a winner 2 days out from the race than on race morning. But I would love the herald sun to have a horse racing comp all through spring this year and say right the winner gets top 3 tips into the paper alongside the 'experts' for the next 12 months. And just see how much of an embarrassment he would make of the experts. I didnt say she because women are flipping useless on the punt
