There are usually two reasons why a team doesn't support a team mate, the first is inability due to lack of any mongrel whatsoever and the second is lack of care factor. If you are playing in a side with both attributes you are in for it and self preservation mode kicks in. keep picking soft one way runners and kidding yourself that they will man up or score enough cheapies to make up for lack of ticker - and your Club goes nowhere. Gonna go counter to the calls for us to get stuck into Edwards.

That's what they want, for us to get sucked into the irrelevant game within the game, to start throwing our weight around and looking to pick fights. We do that, the umpires makes their usual Round 1 statement and start gifting the Tigers free kicks in front of goal, maybe someone gets suspended. More importantly, we go completely off the boil and start playing straight into their chaos ball gameplan.

Edwards said some shit, good for him, the only way we prove him wrong is to come out and win. Because if we lose our heads and they beat us anyway, it just means he was right to say it as well as being right in saying it.

Acknowledge that it was said, remember it was said when tackling, but otherwise just play our game and control the pill to stop theirs.
