Re: Buddy Out

I hope they give Lilse a run. He'd be a fair shot at the weekly rising star award too. Not many young KPP go at the ball like he does. Sewell won't be missed as much with Black out with injury. Brisbane's backline won't cope with our forward options.

Bring him in!

Re: Gut Feeling

The HFC Facebook group just reported that Clarko has said Buddy won't play when asked at the airport.

And the usual moronic comments started flowing almost instantaneously. And, of course, one of those was the generic "drop Tom Murphy" line.

Surely with Buddy out we'll see the Big Moose...?

Re: Buddy Out

There was always a chance of this happening. Prob best to not risk it before the St Kilda game (No Disrespect to Bris), but now it gives someone else a chance to step up and have a crack.

Nice to have the luxury to rest someone like Buddy, At last some depth!!!!!

I don't think we're resting him. If he was right to go he would be playing.

This game is no gimmie

Form for Box Hill isn't all it's cracked up to be.History is littered with guys who play ordinary in the magoos but light it up on the big stage.

Would you rather be on the lead to Hodgy or Lewis or some VFL player hitting you in the ankles?

Give Lisle a go I say.

Re: Rnd 16 team vs Brisbane : IN Mitchell, Whitecross, OUT Sewell, Schoenmakers

4 Pillars - its not that I doubt his endeavour or enthusiasm but I do think his speed and defensive output will prevent him from realising his potential. I think an agile backman like maguire is a bad matchup as he will run Lisle off his legs.

As for the Collingwood game, Lisle played large chunks in defence and really struggled. Perhaps, with a full game in the forward half, he is more settled and playing to a higher standard. I'm just going by what I have seen and happened to miss last weeks game.

Should he play this week, of course I wish him well :thumbsu:

Re: Buddy Out

as much as i fear playing without buddy. The way we have been playing lately... i think we should be strong enuf. Our backline is strong... our mids have been good too! Would love to see Jordan play... but i'm pretty sure Sewell will be back

I think this is the correct move... playing with a bung ankle will cost him as the season goes on. WE CAN DO IT BOYS!

Re: Buddy Out

ANy of you guys know how the weather is down there tomorrow

I'd think if it were wet... Sewell would be in... but if it were dry... Lisle's has a chance!

I think they will bring Lisle in for Buddy. He deserves a run and this is his best opportunity.

I'm a bit concerned about this game, hopefully our forward line can function and Roughy has a big one.

I think we can cover Sewell but I would have perferred that he was selected and WhiteX was not in.

I love Sewell, but WhiteX's form has been better than Brad's this year. WhiteX is also more versatile and has superior foot skills. He has also been performing well at BH. I don't agree with Sewell being dropped but WhiteX is a good selection.

15 degrees tomorrow. Fine throughout the day with a bit of cloud in the arvo.

There'll be a bit of wind to so the non-Invermay Road end (forget which terrace stand) will be a disadvantaged end.

Should be a decent day though. No rain has been forecasted, have had next to no rain this week (in Hobart) but rain is for-casted for Sunday.

I'm surprised that they didn't name a more senior forward as an emergency, such as muston or morton. Oh well, its up to our smalls to win us the game based on Roughead's form.

Might move Rioli off the ball for sewell. If the coaching staff want to stick to their guns of resting Sewell "to find form", then Shials may get a game.

Hrmmmm....This may be true and as I live in QLD I can't exactly watch him at Box Hill, but surely Sewell is more valuable on the field than WhiteX.

Nothing against Whitey, I really like the kid and the way he plays....SHOULD become a 200 gamer eventually, but, Sewell's input and even experience would have him ahead of WhiteX unless the coaches needed more of a flanker type (WhiteX) than a pure midfielder (Sewell) which I suspect is the case.

Still think Sewell will come in for Buddy though.
