Probs Casboult first. Though youd think they would both play if Kreuzer isnt fit.

This. .. You wouldn't go into a game with Casbah holding down a solo ruck role. .. Really hoping to see one of him or Mitchell thrown in this week and perhaps both over the next month. ..

We need to make sure we get the win this week and put some authority on it, regardless of finals being a mathematically chance, winning culutre is good culture and finishing the season strong is important. ..

I've got the perfect game plan for the Doggies. Surprise them by playing Duigan forward, play Hendo down back, Betts at CHF, get our midget forwards to lead into pockets, ensure our field kicking is terrible, make sure all our passes drop short, play six defensive forwards, put Watson in the ruck, kick to 2 on 1 contests and watch the ball get swept away out of our forward line, when Brian Lake leads hit him lace out, get Garlett to play the whole game on Bett's shoulders, ensure there are no crumbers in our forward line by getting them up the ground to swamp stoppages, move Gibbs into 15 different positions but ensure he ends up where he started, let him coast through the game like every other week, make Will Minson look good, miss a record number of tackles, try to pin-pont impossible passes, get more possessions and inside 50s and still lose the game.

I'm confident we've got them covered, they're shaking in their boots- trust me.

I can then make my way home-early again because the traffic after Doggie's games is horrendous- and delete the game on IQ, because I'm running out of hard drive space due, to series linking Antiques Roadshow, which has quickly become my favourite show after round 3.

Wow we think alike and even have the same avatar. LoL

A reliable poster on TC says that he wont play, very sore after Friday night.
This is going to be fun.

As Luke Mitchell's name is being thrown up as an inclusion against Footscray, does anyone know why he wouldn't have played in the development team at the weekend?
I know NB had a bye, but is there a restriction on how many players can play in that team? I just thought it would have made some sense to get as many weeks of footy as possible into him as possible.

Now that our season is well and truly done may as well send blokes in for repair and bring on the young ones like most of you have said.

THIS!!

I'm sick of us making average to decent players look like super stars

We have a damning history of doing that.

If he kicks a bag, Minson would join the long list of winners of the "Angus ****ing Monfries award for overachieving against Carlton".

We made Tom Williams look like a superstar last season.

I think Simon White has to be given a run this week, he is a good size and can play forward and back and in his last year of his contract so needs to show something.

Particularly annoying because sometimes we're able to keep the actual superstars somewhat quiet but then the lesser ones destroys us. I guess this could be evidence of putting too much time into particular players, i.e over committing, but it's not always the case.

Some players (or teams for that matter) just seem to, as you say, overachieve against us

Out: Judd, Walker, Aj Jamo
In: Mitchell, Ellard, T-Bird Russel

Be nice to have 2E available also.

Hope Jamo can survive the MRP. if not we need T-Bird play forward and Hendo to CHB.

Like to see Russell given one more go to prove his worth, if anything it could release gibbs to HFF/Wing

Its been posted somewhere on the board that Kruzer is sore and in doubt, hope he pulls up for this game.
From 3 rucks to 0:thumbsdown:

So who's out?

Judd
Walker

and possibly

Kreuzer, Tuohy, Joseph

If you add Jamo to that list then I think we can officialy qualify for some kind of government disaster relief.

If all out then White, Bower, Thornton, Ellard and Russell to come in. Bower to play back. Hendo to ruck with support from Thornton.

Desperate times my friends.

I wish. Not the worst guy out there but he's not kicking goals which I thought was his job.

Based on the job description, Garlett should be dropped first. I'm not sure how many more weeks we can leave Jeffy in and hope his form turns around. Yes, a stint in the 2nd might not be great for his confidence but playing in 10 goal beltings in front of large crowds sure aint working...

Collins was one of the positives out of last weeks game and has been good since given a chance. When he makes mistakes they are usually bad but he's willing to put his head over the ball, moves beautifully and has good disposal. Needs a run of games to build confidence and stake a claim to remain on the list.

Garlett appears impervious to being dropped (not that I agree with it) but my selections were around what I see as team balance for the upcoming game which left Collins without a spot.

Why do so many people still have Garlett in their line up?

After Friday night, what more proof is needed that he needs a spell in the 2's?

Apparently proof is not something the MC hold in high regard.

Being serious for a moment I assume they value his defensive pressure and are taking the Eddie Betts 'man mangement' route which is to keep doing the little things and the goals will come.
