Freo will be fired up so dont think it will be easy it wont be because they havent got nothing to loose. but im quietly confident but it wil be a good one. but cant get ahead of our selfs.

It's true though. I'd love to beat Freo 10/10 times, but if we went through each H&A season 20-2 and lost both derbies, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
The derby rivalry means more to Freo than it does to West Coast, IMO.
Maybe...I think it's a myth perpetuated by people who take Dockerland too seriously, like Total Package...I mean i hope we smash you everytime we play you but it's not the end of the world if we don't you know...like missing the finals again, dammit...

I go off what dealings I've had with Dockers fans, most of them, no wait, all of them, seem to have an unhealthy dislike for WC. Jealousy, curse etc.

Will be a tough game, derbies in the last few years always have been tough games. But we have turned the corner and Freo are a bit of a rabble so I expect to beat them, and beat them well.

The Freo players wont know what to do - come out and play their grand final and try to shake up our spot in the finals 8, or tank the last 5 games and secure the best draft pick possible.
Seriously, a thread on the Freo board about tanking. I dont blame them either. Even if they won their last 5 games their % would screw them over.

If anything, there will be few who are playing for their future...
The reason the derbies are so big for fremantle is the best in WA, little brother mentality. As they are usually well out of the 8 by this stage of the season this is there biggest game as they have little else to play for.
Provided we can collect another 4 points and steer free of reports/injures it will be just another step on the way to that one day in september

That's all we need, never mind % boosters just a win will be good enough for me.
We have some die-hard Freo supporters at work, and I have always noticed, they are only happy on a Monday morning if the Eagles lose....even if the Dockers win! The same people said they would be happy to win only two games a year against the Eagles....I said I would love if we finished 20-2 losing both derbies!
I think some Freo supporters have got their priorities wrong. Probably stems from many Freo supporters initially supporting Freo when they first entered the competition as an alternative to the Eagles. Due to the 100% media coverage of the eagles pre-Dockers, they were probably sick of hearing of them!

It will be a close game and expect more fireworks. I agree when you say Freo supporters hate WCE but you forget so do our players. Just ask them They have 4 games left after this one so don't think any of our boys will be pulling out of any contests to protect your players.
And it's also true that we think a WCE loss is nearly as good as a Dockers win. Lose this one and the one against the Roos and you'll finish 5-8th and be out in straight sets this year. Enjoyable viewing come September.
