Never expected to win that game and I'm proud of the boys effort but this year is over for us as a team, I don't recall any team, any year being so crippled with injuries. It's really heartbreaking

Does anyone think the sheer number of games in a row at Etihad at the start of the year could have impacted on our injuries?

You constantly hear about how hard the surface is and you would think it takes more time to recover from that ground. Just thinking with the sheer volume of injuries maybe it was a contributing factor. Yet then again a lot of injuries have been impact ones

Not only hard, but also extremely loose.
I can't help but think that multiple 'slips' each week as the turf gives way under foot is putting extra stress and strain on ligaments and joints.

Hamling just didn't seem to have the strength to play a tall forward role. Mind you he was unlucky not have that mark paid right in front - punched out of his hands.

Dangerfield is a good player, just a traitor! I live in Geelong, I'm more Geelong than him, I just don't support the football team here. My ancestoral team is Footscray and I love them thru and thru.
