We seem so off from the rest of the competition. Unfortunately wooden spoon this year, and not a good one. Would we even beat the top teams of the SANFL, WAFL and VFL at the moment?

Pity there is not a National kind of FA Cup completion, so we can be embarrassed even further.

Praying we beat North, maybe they can be off target.

That really needs to be in consideration by The AFL Old Boys Club...

You honestly think our midfield will function better without Hopper a d Tarranto? Get off the drugs. Who comes in for them who? A kid that's played 4 games? People forgetting Ross is a big bodied mid that has missed most of the year too

The point is we traded two years worth of draft picks and all we have to show for it is the worst midfield in the league. Frankly could have still had the worst midfield in the league without bringing in Taranto and Hopper, it's a pretty low bar, but at least we'd have some exciting first round youngsters like Brown to look forward to. And we can only blame injury so far, only Ross is missing from it at the moment and he is no world beater. So if that is the proposition, we'd still be crap with them, bottom of the ladder crap, but we'd be even more crap without them, that's not much of a sales pitch in retrospect. The Taranto and Hopper trades are ageing worse by the week.

yep, its called endurance. once he builds that up his disposal/decision making will improve instead of being sloppy and hesitant.

In all facets. The rot started when our execs and coaches started to not care in 2020. Complacency set in and now club is back to 90’s levels.

Today, effort was deplorable and skills even worse. Coach has no idea. Not a ****ing clue.

Exactly. Everything he does which is sub par is due to some sort of injury pre-hindrance, without exception.

The most protected player on our list from questions over his value and general accountability.

And I might add, as he is getting injured every year at ages 25, 26 and 27 (just 30 games out of a possible 65) what hope is there for the next five years of his contract at ages 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32?

Any way you cut it, it was a bad bad trade decision.

That was a really poor. We didn’t have enough talls to give us a chance.

If we played Balta and Miller back, then when Ryan is on the bench our sole forward has to ruck! Flip it around and miller was the only tall defender and the pies made sure he was nowhere near the contest.

Lack of endurance always makes a player 'sloppy' and fumbly?

No, but a poster i was responding to wanted senior players like Prestia and Hopper dropped for him to come in. My point was he can’t run games out. He needs another pre season.

That really needs to be in consideration by The AFL Old Boys Club...

They will never take the risk of an AFL club losing to a club in the lower grades.

Port Melbourne in 2011 would have given the Gold Coast a run for it’s money.

No wonder they didn’t risk the bottom VFL team ever playing against the VFA premiers.

North have LDU, Sheezel, Wardlaw, Zurhaar, etc. We don’t have any similar types.

Yeah, we will draft some talent, but most of them will need time to develop. Until they do, we’re going to be bottom of the table.
