rioli will be 28 next year

he is severely overrated

he is contracted

gold campaigners would have to pay through the nose for him

ill be disappointed if we keep him

could really supercharge our rebuild

A pretty disappointing day, I really thought we were in with a decent sniff.

Broad by far our best player today. Took some really strong intercepts and proved his doubters wrong. Still not sure why he has copped so much hate this year?

Liked Trezise’s game today thought he had a real crack and showed he belongs.

Not sure who Ryan’s manager is but how he got a new 3 year deal for his client has me stumped. Never seen a player look so disinterested. His hands are horrible and he’s as slow as they come.

McIntosh provides a contest when he plays forward, he’s been ok when played there this year I think.

Liked Banks’ game I thought it was his best for the senior side. Him and Hugo on the wings for years to come will be good to watch.

Tom Brown another big tick. Really like this kid.

Looking to next week hopefully we can get a couple back as I really can’t see us winning at all. North were our bunny side even when we were winning flags…

coaches out come up with something new for kick outs. time for short and prestia to go. sell bolton while there is some currency. baker is going through motions. our future is not with kosi and ryan both pathetic. on 3 year deals. hopper is clearly a bust. bring up mcaullfie for the rest of the year.

Kozzie presented well today and Ryan actually got better as the game wore on. McAullife is still a pre season away from having a big impact. Prestia had 20 touches and a goal, far from our worst. Hopper had 20 as well with 3 tackles.

As expected as far as the result went. We were never a serious chance in this game given what was on the line for the Pies.

Disappointing that Taranto is hurt again hopefully just a slight niggle.

What I did like today was Yze taking the opportunity to give some kids exposure. He had Campbell and Green running with Nick Daicos and they would have got a bit of an understanding as to how hard you need to work as midfielder if you want to have an impact. Brown and Smith got the chance to kick goals and did so. Thought Samson toiled away against an experienced ruck pair in Cameron and Cox. He got himself into some good spots and competed for most of the game.

Can definitely see how the side is disjointed with the constant chopping and changing, but it's giving Yze a good look at players before the real business starts in about a month when we start making cuts for the 2025 season.

Fully expect North to get the win next week but hopefully we can at least put up a better fight that we did today and as far as changes go, it's been shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic for about 4 months now so not much will change over the last month of the season.
