The senior players struggle to perform at the moment, how are the kids supposed to stand out?Yze bangs on about how many kids we are playing but I want to know how many are actually good? Brown is the only one I’m remotely confident in. Gibcus is the only other who has A grade potential but looks the type of player that will break down every time he touches grass.
This is something that changes as the team changes. You look at a bottoms team list and see nothing, but suddenly they start turning it around and guys start popping up everywhere looking like future stars even though the list is mostly unchanged.
A team needs to be performing well for a player to actually show off their skills and gain that confidence. There was a reason why any kid that came in to our team used to look good straight away in 17-20. They slot into a good team, get a specific role, get played to their strengths and can rely on everyone around them to do what they would expect them to do.
