There is an interview with Mr Chapman on todays Sunday Footy Show.

They have shown a clip already with him and Roo talking up Goodwin's coaching ability.

The full interview is still to come.

If I took nothing else away from that interview, it was that I wouldn't be very confident of coaching the AFC next year if I was Neil Craig

He's bought the we lost 2000 games of experience line and as a result we're now "tempering our expectations slightly."

I guess we didn't realise that Goody, Macca and Tyson had played around 300 games each until midway through this year.

Interesting interview and probably answers alot of questions from those supporters who accuse the Adelaide Football Club for doing nothing.

Rod has pretty much hinted at the end of the season a major in depth review will take place. I did like his comment about the type of scrutiny Craig is facing.

I did say yesterday that I think Neil should resign. I have never in my 30 years of watching football have I ever seen an afl coach come back from this type of pressure and scrutiny over their job.

Neil should at least look up the statistics of coaches being sacked one week after being publicly supporterd by presidents and boards. It must be up to nearly 99.9% now. I guess that is why the media are already moving onto possible coaching options for next year and talking about goody.

Choco in 2009, and they had to pay him out his contract the following year.

We dont want to be in this situation.

Can anyone remember late 2004 when we were interviewing and it was reported some one said i want to coach a football team not be under more scruitinty than the premier.

Pretty sure he meant over the corresponding match last year, which would have been Edwards farewell match IIRC. No Goody, Edwards & Macca is about 900. Stevens is another 150 (1150), Bock wouldn't have been playing due to injury but they probably counted him. Burton was dropped by then but I'm assuming they counted him. I reckon you can only get to about 1500.

So there is a little bit of hyperbole in Chappy's statement, but the the way he talked about Goody got me excited :thumbsu:

Its a pity 95% of Crows supporters would not know who this guys is if they fell over him in rundle mall.

The message I got is Craig is a dead man walking.

Is this interview on line anywhere or could someone up load it to You Tube?

please.

Edit: Thanks PinePower. I should have looked before asking.

I saw a chicken cross the road yesterday, it's as clear as day that the road crossing chicken was a sign that Craig is going to be sacked by the end of the week, and the entire AFC board replaced by a Peoples Revolutionary Soviet that will finally run the club how it should be run - using the extreme business knowledge and coaching acumen of the average football fan in the stands.

I saw it in the country but you may be interested in this

And sorry I cant seem to get a link to the video without clicking Sunday Agenda

Many thanks for that!! :thumbsu:

After listening to Chapman, the only thing that can save Craig IMO is to make the finals (we won't) and also win one (irrelevant).

At the end of the year Craig is gawn!!

After listening to the same interview, I took nothing of the sort away from it, and I fail to see how anyone objectively could. Where you got your idea of reaching and winning finals I find baffling, because I didn't even hear an allusion.

What I took away from it is that Craig will be coaching next year, and the rest was just an escape plan they could point back to should unforseen circumstances occur.

NT how many more games can you see us winning this year? I imagine not many. When Trigg came out with his as far as the eye can see comment and then had to qualify it by stating there was no guarantee and if we kept losing poorly then we would have to reassess it, what do you think he meant?

As for Craig, do you think he has coached well? Nothing about rebuilding, that's a team issue, has he coached well in your opinion? Take into account selections, use of the sub, game plan, midfield set up and getting your team to play with competitiveness.
