I would have Lever ahead of him too purely because I think Keath has only played 1 game against a key forward that's good (eagles) and he was beaten in that match up. But once Keath gets a crack at Tigers, Port and Cats he could certainly change my mind. Having a good year but just wanna see him do it against some of the better players before I have him in there.
Lever has probably been better but I’d be putting him in the back pocket given he’s playing that third tall role. Tomlinson & May seem to be taking the bigger forwards allowing Lever to peel off, but he’s definitely in the team.

Most overatted player of all time.
Had 1 great season and plays great in finals, most of his h&a career had been average. Lucky the tigers set their whole game plan around looking after his deficiencies.
Wow, that is a terrible take. Absolute star.

Yeah, take out all of his good parts and he doesn't even have good parts.

The Bulldogs are 1st in the league for clearances, disposals, contested possessions, 3rd for inside 50's. The midfield is dominating and dominant midfields will always make a defenders job easier.

Not just defending the amount of inside 50's they have to but the oppo forwards also have less quality inside 50's. Keath has been good but if i was going to be a key defender in any team i would want it to be in the Dogs team.
Think you are wrong their lol. That's absolutely the main reason they are winning games at the moment. They don't have to defend because they always have the ball. Im not saying the dogs defenders have been bad but their job is so much easier with how much they dominate the possession.
Classic brain fade there, I meant it's not just their midfield dominating games. They're even better now but they've dominated a lot of games in the middle the last few years and lost them at either end, their backs and forwards are both playing high quality football even if their mids are their best line!

I'd have it at something like this right now

Aliir Aliir - Steven May - Tom Stewart
Chris Salem - Alex Keath - Changkuoth Jiath
Hugh McCluggage - Sam Walsh - Karl Amon
Christian Petracca - Taylor Walker - Marcus Bontempelli
Toby Greene - Harry McKay - Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti

Max Gawn - Jack Macrae - David Mundy

Clayton Oliver - Travis Boak - Jack Steele - Jake Lever

With the below all not far off
Rory Laird, Daniel Rich, Jarryd Lyons, Brodie Grundy, Jack Crisp, Jordan Ridley, Matt Taberener, Lachie Shultz, Mitch Duncan, Cam Guthrie, Jack Bowes, Ben King, Ed Langdon, Kysaiah Pickett, Ollie Wines, Jack Riewoldt, Dustin Martin, Shane Edwards, Luke Parker, Tom McCartin, Oscar Allen, Adam Treloar, Josh Dunkley and Tom Liberatore.

I hate to be that guy who comes in trying to push players from the team I support, but O'Meara has to be close. Having a career best season and without him we are probably 1-5. Also ranked inside at least the top 15 for handballs, effective disposals, contested possessions and ranked 1st in centre clearances.

Might be pushing for the squad but isn't near the 22

Yep, all I had in mind was the squad. But he has been far better than people realise I believe. I'm generally pretty negative towards JOM too but i'm throughly impressed by his form this year.

Jiath our only true best 22 AA possibility currently.

JOM would have been a genuine top 10 player if his knees didn't go and he pretty much lost 2-3 years of footy at the Gold Coast

Yeah I'd probably say squad too. Very competitive among the mids and especially for insiders.

If Jack Steele is in peoples 22, then JOM has claims, because he’s ahead of him in most stats.

111th for score involvements & somewhere outside the top 200 for goal assists. He's also kicked 1 goal for the year.

Wines would be in atm. Could potentially be on around 10 Brownlow votes.

Houston on the HBF (starting 18)
Wines (starting 18) + Boak (bench) in the mids/bench
Amon on the cusp (squad)
Aliir Aliir on the cusp too (squad)

You can pick and choose stats of course. Summed up on footywire, here are JOMs rankings.

While averaging 28 disposals and 4 tackles a game.

He's worthy of a chat about inclusion in the squad.
