Roos's assessment of certain youngsters

All I can say is thank christ that we have Roos and co as selectors and not some bigfooty posters- they would 11 changes each week and then wonder why the team still isn't performing.

Simple rules of selection:

1. Easy to say drop ABC for a poor performance, but will player XYZ be an improvement in SENIOR AFL FOOTBALL

2. What impact will "said" selection have on the WHOLE 22 STRUCTURE not just one single position

3. Don't listen to fair weather supporters that expect to finish Top 4 every year

As usual you're right Ted. In fact, of those BF fans polled a huge 78% strongly agreed with you on this, 18% mildly agreed but accepted that you're usually right while the remaining 5% may need to be recounted.

Sheesh must be some embarrassed souls after re- reading this thread.

Post apologies here......

Now I realise it is easy to comment with hindsight and I have made emotional comments after a loss (eg Kirk not up to AFL standard in 2002) - but jeez some jumped off quick!!

No problems there but some of the comments like

"I am glad Roos is leaving..." or "bloods culture is dead..." "roos is like eade in 2002"

Just ridiculous and so shortsighted

Vez - should be in the team, oodles of talent but maybe wrong attitude and not working hard enough
