Laird shouldn't have said anything. Period. He had a shit game. Period. He wasn't on his Pat Malone. He is a three time Best and Fairest champion of this club. He deserves better than this BS.

Laird was actually amazing yesterday. Got smothered kicking out resulting in a goal, latter in the 3rd qtr i think handballs directly to the opposition in the middle under little pressure which directly also resulted in a goal. And then in the last got smothered again trying to kick out and get a free stat. Also the non effort running right past Grundy.

All this after accusing his team mate for not being team first.

What is completely infuriating with Nicks is that he has put Laird in one of the most important positions in the ground. HB is now the role for a player to drive meters gained in rebound and deliver accurate possessio s into the middle and forward 50. THIS IS NOT LAIRD.

If Nicks wants to play him, put him in Murphy's spot and if he can't cover the opposition drop him to the SANFL and let him play with Murphy who should be the SANFL captain

But basically get rid of him from the backline and midfield

Hinge played his best game for the year when Smith was dropped and he was the main man off the HBF.

Smith brought back in - we played through him more again, Hinge dropped off.

Then we did the same with Laird.
