Reportedly GWS contract offer wasn't what Lobb thought he was worth

It really depends on how cheap you make Lobb.80-95% of the time you won't trade pick 13 for a 29 year old.
the 5-20% of the time you would is that when you have a team that is in finals or needs a good 29 year old mid that can turn a 9th or 10th placed side to a 6th or 7th placed side that makes finals.
Even if thats the case, You want that 29 year old to have 3-4, possibly 5 years of good footy and even then thats unlikely.
And for a future first I would want an actual ruck and the better player. In trade terms they are about as expensive as each other. I never brought up theoretical cap relief you did. I think Freo chipping in $500k per year is quite frankly far fetched.I'm not even sure if you're trying to be ignorant on purpose.
My suggestion was that you're almost getting a $200,000 a year Lobb ($500k discount) and additional points for Darcy.
The value you get from that huge salary savings is easily worth a decent portion of your future 1st given valuations of recent trades.
They have $2 mil free cap atm, I'm sure they would be happy to chip in $500k a year for just 2 years in return of a better pick...And for a future first I would want an actual ruck and the better player. Assuming Clark goes for pick 19 (which he's really not worth but we digress).
Freo could trade Lobb + 22 for pick 13 from GWS.
They will probably have to chip in for Lobb's salary tho, which they can easily afford.
there is zero chance we are trading lobb + a pick just for 13. We'd be starting at pick 13 and working up.
He’s not a ruck though and he doesn’t want to play ruck. We already have a forward/ruck in English. He’s not a need. Again, if the Bulldogs are going trade out their future first it should be for an actual position of need, not just a bloke that can “at least break even”. And you call me ignorant feck me.They have $2 mil free cap atm, I'm sure they would be happy to chip in $500k a year for just 2 years in return of a better pick...
What is likely to be pick 17 next year will not help you with your next premiership run, you already have more talent than required for a premiership, but your list lacks balance, it's all about consolidating what you already have and addressing your ruck weakness.
Lobb will allow you to at least break even if not sometimes win out in the ruck in your weakest line by far. It can easily be a Darren Jolly situation where a late 1st round pick is traded for a difference making player and fills a major hole in your list.
Dreaming.
No chance. I mean you can start there. But it won’t finish anywhere near that.there is zero chance we are trading lobb + a pick just for 13. We'd be starting at pick 13 and working up.
Was the monster under your bed, when you were a kid, coloured purple?Everyone else is reaming Freo presently .... Why not join in on the party. This should be fun.
I have no idea what would be compelling enough an offer to make Freo even take the call.
I suggested 6 and Lobb for 2 and future 2nd. Would do in a heartbeat if the narrative all the time wasn’t ‘he’s contracted and integral’.
GWS must have put a significant shuffle or offer.
Interesting.
Or like Finlayson and the Giants trade to Port it’s family related and so Freo are trying to do the right thing for player welfare.I have no idea what would be compelling enough an offer to make Freo even take the call.

How can it be. His girlfriend will be in Melbourne and his family is in Perth!Or like Finlayson and the Giants trade to Port it’s family related and so Freo are trying to do the right thing for player welfare.
Cogs only offered up as a thought bubble by SOS, and myself really.I think the main thinking is that Cognilio has a massive contract that GWS aren't happy with, and want to move that off so they can free up some cap space.
Since Fremantle appear to have built quite the warchest for Cerra which wasn't required, it would make perfect sense we can take on some of that burden.
If GWS can get rid of Coggers + snaffle Lobb i'm not sure they will be that concerned about picks because Cap space is looking to have significant currency on its own.

East coast is closer for his girlfriend. How can it be. His girlfriend will be in Melbourne and his family is in Perth!
Why not other clubs do. Don’t be like Adelaide and the Bombers.Well I have no doubt Freo would be somewhat sensitive to this, it at same time it’s not as though they will just release him for ‘fair’ price.
East coast is closer for his girlfriend.
He ain’t coming to us for dollars. So unless Fremantle want him gone the only other option is close/closer to his partner

Haven’t seen any reports that a discussion has been with him or even if has been discussed without.
The Lobb-Barrett bomb smells of Colin Young still to me.East coast is closer for his girlfriend.

Patchy form from injuries. Class is there. If GWS aren't shopping him i'd be surprised.
massive contract, another 5 years to go and a patchy history of injuries and form.
