Reportedly GWS contract offer wasn't what Lobb thought he was worth

*glass breaks*Fremantle hates forwards. We need to get rid of them all and bring in some skinny flankers.
Agree in 3- 4 years time the Darcy, Serong, Logue, B.Cox, Brayshaw, H.Young, L.Henry, Treacy, J.Clark, H.Chapman, O'driscoll and 3 top 20 picks group will be closer thenI reckon if we trade Lobb we could finish bottom 6 next season but will be closer to a premiership with the young core... the gap between the age of tall forwards on the list and the likes of Darcy, Brayshaw and Serong was too large and trading Lobb potentially allows us to bring and provide more opportunity for key forwards closer to the age bracket of the best group of players on our list which are in that 19-23 age bracket. However as Ryan Daniels tweeted we could have 2 million in cap space so if the club pulls the right strings the year after next we may be very very good.
Of those 4 players and Hogan, Himmelberg,Mumford and Finlayson gone, Lobb in.
So two out, one in. I don't think Briggs,Flynn,Pruess would be that happy though.
Cap is 13.4 mill for 2021 maybe increase in 2022How do we have $2M cap space? We need to spend 95% at least and if we have that much space, we're at about 80%
We’re lucky to have 4 fit at the same timeOf those 4 players and Hogan, Himmelberg,
Only 4 of the 6 can be in the team at once,
unless Himmelberg plays back.
Yeah, we need forwards.WBD making a mistake for not going for Lobb and get Freo to pay a large % of his salary.
WBD should trade a future 1st for Lobb + get Freo to pay 350k - 500k of his salary + points for Darcy.
EfaIs it just to me or does Lobb moving back to GWS make less sense than him just staying with the Dockers? The Dockers are severely lacking talls, while GWS have Flynn, Briggs, and Preuss and Hogan
G’day
I honestly doubt we would trade Harry. So um, do you have a KPF you can trade us, say someone whose last name starts with H...
If the backline is fully fit, a 194 cm Brennan cox is handyThere has to be a replacement for Lobb in Wall's sights if this trade goes ahead.
Fremantles key forward stocks will be down to a frequently injured Taberner and a 19 yo Treacey plus what they draft this year. Who would it be?
Tim English? Still young but very similar to Lobb in that he is Ruck/Forward who doe'snt excel at either
Darcy Cameron? Don't mind this kid
Josh Kennedy? Rumours around that he will come to Freo as a FA on a 1 year deal. That could work.
Funny trade period this.
You and your tough guy Tony Abbott tactics.Well if its a similar offer to what freo paid....
Picks 11 and 20 for Lobb and pick 14....
You and your tough guy Tony Abbott tactics.
There's another guy with a name that starts with H... he's relatively new to your club.I honestly doubt we would trade Harry.
There are two ways I think this goes.
pick 2 for 6 and Lobb (maybe with some later pick swapsies)
Or
Cogs is involved……. (Im not saying its what I want etc but it’s a possibility)
Well Freo got reamed in the Cerra trade.
I am not suprised half of freos fan base are out for blood lol.
Ahhh, he hasn’t played often enough for me to remember yet. Barely effects our cap too. There's another guy with a name that starts with H... he's relatively new to your club.
I more so meant ruck options, but good point. There's also Himmelberg and Riccardi.
I'm not even sure if you're trying to be ignorant on purpose. You’ve suggested offering up our future first for Lobb?
More the fact that he went home with the first trade and is still wanted. Let's not pretend that is commonplace.
80-95% of the time you won't trade pick 13 for a 29 year old.You don't pay pick 13 for a middle ground player turning 29
