11 games is a little harsh, in his last three years he has play 13, 15 & 17.
Also, you can guarantee that we would be paying at least part of his contract.

So if you were paying lets say 400k for lobb for two years, i think that would improve a lot of lists. Your team included.
That is kind of the reason clubs trade in players.

You're wrong about 11 games.

Or are you just trolling because it's Freo?
400k would he reasonable if it also involved a late 2nd rounder. But I can't see freo agreeing to that.

They want a decent pick in exchange for taking on salary.

How have we not been committed to a rebuild? Have you seen how many U23 players we have in our squad? Our elite retiring talent is only Mundy after next year.

Mundy retire, wash your mouth out !!!!.

I can see Prochard has not watch Freo lately.

As for Lobb, he is required for the Freo structure, but ....... he has consistency issues. A bit of a teaser.

Hard to know which club he suits best in Victoria

Probably need to be in the window in the next 2-3 years

Essendon - After King following year

Western Bulldogs - (If they can trust English as the #1 ruck which I don't think they can)

Stkilda - After King following year. I wouldn't think their the worse option but then I can't see how Lobb, 2 x Kings and Membrey all work together in the same fwd line

Richmond - I think their plan is to play Nankervis as a forward next year with Riewoldt and Lynch. How do Lobb, Lynch and Nank work in 2023 in the same forward line, seems very tall

I just can't see how anything lines up for him and Freo, probably best to wait 12 months and see what T.English is doing After that time and see who misses out on Ben King

Yeah he could be ideal for us in 12 months time if we don’t get Bing and Ryder retires as expected.

Then Marshall goes into the ruck and Lobb replaces him up forward.

That could actually be a better result than us spending enormous trade and salary cap capital on a second King.

I really rate Bing like anyone else but like yourself with my club it is worrying how much he is going to cost at the trade table

However if a Hawks, Pies or North have Pick 1 PSD than GC will have a lot less leverage

Dogs is the only one that makes sense to me and only if they get Ceglar and English has told them he plans on leaving next year. I’m 99% certain Tom Browne is making shit up (groundbreaking I know) about a team ‘putting together a package’

Unless someone is trolling him with a most epic man baton picture prank message that he will be so excited to open.

"how you like them package Browney?"

Has to be a salary dump situation, 28 year olds $350k player on $700k.

Trade value would be close to 0. Potentially a 2nd round pick if freo pays a massive chunk of the salary.

There is no world where we are losing Cerra and we need to salary dump Lobb

If any of Richmond (#7), St Kilda (#9), Essendon (#11) or Richmond again (#15) it could get interesting.

I've said it previously but St Kilda need a Ryder replacement immediately because their system collapses if they lose him, they need another target up forward and the ruck team bolstered - they aren't in the position to be able to develop a young ruck who could have the top four/flag/top eight chances resting on his shoulders.

You can see how St Kilda's system tears apart a team when they get ruck dominance in their game against Richmond.
You can see how St Kilda's system gets torn apart against a team when they get beaten in the ruck in their other game against Richmond.

St Kilda should rate itself right in the mix for the flag next season and if they get a chance to bolster a structural need for the next four years immediately it would be considered.

Same for Richmond, to a lesser extent Essendon too.

But then so should Freo, which is why they won't release him for cheap.

So has he got 1 year left like the thread title and footywire suggest, or 2 like channel 7 said with Tom Browne?
Freo say it's two seasons contracted remaining.

Freo has to find $750,000 for four years to spend because Cerra is moving home. There's no salary cap issue.

Lol keep dreaming

Even if you pay every cent for the next 2 years you aren't getting that for him

Lobb is terrible. He is no Ryder or Marshall replacement

You should look into the sort of price clubs like Sydney, Geelong and Collingwood paid for a ruck tall to complete their premiership squad. Not to mention the Bulldogs.

Just like buying a street of houses to bulldoze and build an apartment building, that last peice is the most expensive one.

I don't want to trade him at all so I don't think he will get moved on for the top 15 pick I suggested, but if he leaves I do expect quite a bounty given given flat out rejection Freo have put out thus far.

So many factors at play here I reckon.

Just can’t see the bombers getting involved - already have Wright, Jones, Bryan, Reid, Baldwin, Draper.

Geelong - if he wants to play mainly forward, they wouldn’t need him. They need a #1 ruck. Linked to sweet and Ceglar.

Hawthorn - he’s too old for them.

Suns - would be ideal but salary cap?

North Melb - he’s too old for them. Getting CCJ anyway.

Richmond - perhaps if Jack was retiring now.. could see them being the #1 best place for him. Not sure where he would fit if Jack plays. Also have Nank and Soldo.

Saints - just can’t see it if they’re going to add Xerri. Already have Marshall, King, Ryder and Sharman.
