For me Freo's list after losing Cerra is in stuck in no mans land, where ur elite talent are all retiring, but equally you don't seem committed to a rebuild either.

Assuming Lobb signs a totally new deal with a club picking up his two remaining years with a four or five year deal spreading the cash out he could find a place in a lot of sides.

But, I don't see a circumstance where Freo is happy to release him when he is so needed by us for a price that doesn't scare off another club.

Yes they would because their options are to not do anything and hope that their existing brigade of old boys can go two better next year or give up and rebuild.

Chasing a flag would involve us buying an actual good ruckman not a half decent forward who wouldnt even fit in our forward structure and who is a poor ruckman.

Plus everyone knows Lobbs a better forward than ruck. There is no way a forward line of Cameron, Hawkins and Lobb would work as its too tall and cumbersome.

We absolutely dont need to dump for cap reasons, there is no firesale here which makes it all the more incredible if someone is actually willing to try get him. There is so much going on against the trade I'll just put this one in the Tom Browne is an idiot and there is no chance this happens

11 games is a little harsh, in his last three years he has play 13, 15 & 17.
Also, you can guarantee that we would be paying at least part of his contract.

So if you were paying lets say 400k for lobb for two years, i think that would improve a lot of lists. Your team included.
