Is that why Browns scores have been so bad all the time ? I thought it was just because he didn't want to get his boots dirty by kicking , lol.
Last year I was wanting Brown phased out and Austin given more of a chance , however seeing the guy has put in his best ever preseason and not having Carlisle we can't afford him not playing.
The weakest link to me in the backline is Savage I hate to say , I feel he is more of a winger and not a defender , even though he has looked better in the JLT games.
I don't go much on Geary's disposal but he is a good defender , apart from that I feel our backline will hold up.
This what I would like to see
Geary - Brown - Wilkie
Webster - Battle - McKenzie

I speak to Saints fans outside the forum, so many are still angry about last year. One guy can't get over the president suggesting finals then ending up bottom 4. He's shitty because he's realised we are just starting the journey not about to arrive. I get freaked listening to that stuff and get angry at the club. I used to be a positive poster once, now I'm burnt out and always annoyed by the club making poor decision. I know no-one wants to hear it but it feels like a way to unload the burden, I think I actually hope other posters can convince me otherwise. I love reading Premo's posts, he just doesn't get pushed down, just jumps up and dusts himself off. I want to be like that but I can't do it.

I also got lots of mates from other clubs who I regularly catch up and they always wonder what's going on with our club?

I used to do volunteering for saints but I have stopped since last year.

We all are humans and make mistakes but we learn from our mistakes. When you repeat the same mistakes again and again then it becomes habit.

I am 46 and I want saints to win at least one GF in my lifetime is it too much to ask?

Yes some positive posts about other posters! I like it!
Premium keep up the good work, we will all turn the tide to positivity eventually, so hang in there with us!

watchin all the kids again this week, although some have said he was a little naughty, Long's aggression paired with Madman Parker's was awesome and exactly what we need a bit of in our forward line I reckon. Also loved how quick Billings and Long were over to back Madman when he got in that little scuffle in the fwd pocket! I mean Billings did that! WOWSER!
Let's see a little more of that this week again!
Thanks for the comments fellas , I realize my posts are a bit too positive at times , but some posts on here can by depressing , especially when you read people hammering our team about we have no standout players when most of them have just turned 22.
Acres , Gresham , Billings , Steele , McKenzie , Sinclair are in there prime and if they have a good year we will have a good year.

I have my players I don't want in the side because I feel they don't have what it takes to improve the side , like last year with Weller , Wright.
Even playing McCartin and Newnes I just didn't feel they earned there position in the team at times , however at one stage we had no choice because of injuries.

Another one is Bruce , people where calling the guy to be traded and he is the only goal kicking tall we have in our team - blows my mind at times , at least this year with no injuries he will shut a lot of people up.

Anyway let's just beat the Bombers this week.

Blah blah blah, Sack Cho, blah blah bad captain, blah blah Lonie blah blah blah Hannebery.... why aren't they playing Paton and White no selection integrity blah blah.

Ive noticed who George included , it was lucky I slipped him $50 to get my name there . However I will always fight those who are considered less than others but only if they slip me some money first lol .

i noticed my name wasn't on there!!!!!:(

its great to see some positive posts too , keep it up . I think some people only comment when things are going badly but things can always turn so quick . You can have a terrible season like last year but an unexpected win can make everything great for awhile at least. You just never know what might happen next week .

You're an inspiration Brainsy...

Pretty good write up on the game. Worth a read.
It's a great site.....found it a about 5 years ago.

Always look forward to reading the column on a weekly basis....he usually pulls no punches on the players and the club.

Always a great read......an absolutely passionate supporter writing the articles and his "partner in crime" also writes a game summary every few weeks.

Man, if Parker hadn't of shanked that check-side kick.....would've been GOTY for sure

That first up performance, as the author said was very un-St Kilda like, he really made the dome rock. I hope he can back it up, he's like our version of what Phar Lap was to the depression era. No pressure Predator, but we need you to carry all our hopes on your back.

He's fun to watch and that alone makes turning up worth it.

lol
Love it Gringo!...No pressure at all...Have heard all sorts of magical descriptions for the Predator but not heard him ever being
Compared to Phar Lap! lol.....That's outstanding!....He's certainly not going to carry any of the weight Phar Lap had to lug around
Nor do i expect him to be shot at by some dodgy American gangsters!
But Something tells me he would be pretty handy under the whip! :moustache:

Personally i'd say he is more Greyhound than horse though and ironically we have had a champion dish licker go by the name of Predator!
But i love the imagination man! And it's fair to say all Saints fans have suffered through a 50 year depression era..So yeah no pressure Son! :stkilda:
