Only thing that will prevent the fans attending is the time slot, venue, opposition and injury list.Any predictions on the crowd?
Hope all this negativity doesn't hinder a big crowd from attending.

Yes of course but can anyone here actually say weather he'll work out as an effective KPD for the next couple of years?
I know he's very average, l just reckon it's smart to reserve judgment till he's had a chance.
My feeling is we won't be able to land a premo KPD and will have to develop Van Es and Adams. Cordy fills the hole.
I reckon at least 30K++
Melbourne has been turning it on lately with respect to event turnouts.
They even got 1.5 million total attendance to Moomba.
Lets not forget the Harry Styles and Ed Sherran events.
He could’ve got a game the way things are going.Ed Sheeran should have hung around to be at the first Saints game, and we could have had a full house.
Fair enough but when I go to training I think he could train a little harder and in the couple of intraclub games could play harder. Also to me who isn’t close to a kpf. Genuine hff to me but just taller than most.I think he’s trained better for longer, (no fault of Hammers). I think the fact that we’re going into the game with no established kpf. Sharman showing he can at least get scoring opportunities.

Let’s get Spencer White back, Buddy 2.0

RTB saying Membrey could miss a month.
Good point. It's great to have a stern test of our pressure early this season. The rest of our game plan will be actioned in coming months, but pressure and effort are the RTB non-negotiables, so I'd expect a slightly flaky lockdown which will probably be derided by the media but I'll be stoked if we are still in the game halfway through 4Q because it means that the teamwork and leadership is there.
"Slightly flaky" because the coaches haven't had a lot of time to whip this group into the miserly battalion that will be our end product yet.
One thing that will s**t me is all the media w***ers- especially the Saints old boys - treating RTB like a cartoon character, the same way they treated Sheedy back in the day, and laughing about every single utterance that man makes, excitedly describing them as classic Ross-isms and trying to squeeze more "You’re quite brilliant Shane"s out of him for their own amusement. The worst thing is at some stage in the season, when the footy gets really dire, he might even start playing up to it himself, and becoming that 2D "character" the footy world is crying out for.
I’m going 17k max.Any predictions on the crowd?

Do you reckon he's got the agility and ground tools to play HFF, looks like he needs one of those rubbish grabber claws to attack any ball below his knees.Fair enough but when I go to training I think he could train a little harder and in the couple of intraclub games could play harder. Also to me who isn’t close to a log. Genuine hff to me but just taller than most.
Replacement buses on the Belgrave-Lilydale lines won't help. I really want to be there but jeepers the couch is starting to look very comfy.I’m going 17k max.
I’m going but a 10pm finish doesn’t really excite me.Replacement buses on the Belgrave-Lilydale lines won't help. I really want to be there but jeepers the couch is starting to look very comfy.
there can be different types of key forwards. Ben Brown, Kennedy, Franklin, Walker, etc are forwards who are very good at getting in space on the lead. Sharman is like that and can take a flyer as well. Some key forwards are more crashing the pack, overpowering their opponent and outmarking their opponent.I'm Coops biggest fan but I can see the difference. Coops is a lead up forward and most like Bailey Fritsch. He'll make the most out of limited chances but has less strings to his bow than guys like Owens who is probably his competition. If they play Phillipou you can see why he's probably being left out because he will play a similar role.
Size is irrelevant IMO, Ben Brown is mostly a lead up into space type despite his size (he can contest in the air though), McDonald is probably their big combative forward who skittles defences. The way we use King is as a sit under the fall of the ball and mark or spill type.
Caminiti seems much more of the bee line the ball forward who will power through anything in his way to get there. Hayes has that ability too. Membrey is probably a bit more like Sharman. Doesn't really smash defences open but can contest better than most for his size.
Sharman is the type who would be a gun in a good side that needs a third tall that splits open sides through efficiency. We have a strange set up with our forwards and he's struggling to get a spot.
Probably more because he plays usually outside the contest and like flying from the side.Do you reckon he's got the agility and ground tools to play HFF, looks like he needs one of those rubbish grabber claws to attack any ball below his knees.
Definitely his one wood.Probably more because he plays usually outside the contest and like flying from the side.

Jack Silvagni already a better recruiter than anyone we’ve had in the last 15 years.Video
New season, same old Ross. Watch our Senior Coach's press conference ahead of Sunday's season opener against Fremantle.www.saints.com.au
Great presser from RTB. The Hammer and Phillipou to debut. Great story about how Jack Silvagni told SOS that the Hammer had beaten Weitering silly at training and then SOS (as incoming list manager, unbeknown to Jack) gets the Hammer down to the Saints for training.
Excitement level doubled after the presser. RTB is hungry and committed 200%.
With Membrey out for a month we need to play Sharman (need to be played every game up forward imo)
Have Campbell as our emergency if Marshall needs support or if one of the other forwards don't fire
Blind Freddy can see this and i hope this coaching panel can as well because match committee selections over the past 10 years have been shocking!
I’m going 17k max.
