B: Hurn, Barrass, Cole
HB: Duggan, McGovern, Shuey
C: Gaff, Kelly, Hunt
HF: Cripps, Allen, Petruccelle
F: Ryan, Darling, Long
R: Williams, Yeo, Sheed
I: Jamieson, Jones, Ginbey, Chesser
S: Waterman
E: Edwards, O’Neill, Hough

Jones and Petch get the last two spots. Waterman the sub because of his versatility.

Not sure what’s up with Culley.

O’Neill to travel, Edwards and Hough to play WAFL with Culley, Hewett, Witherden, West, Clark etc.

Edwards went from a meme to two players on the list. Eagerly waiting for us to draft a Bock and a Gunston in the coming years to put the icing on a cake
I see your Edwards and raise you the Hawks traded Mitchell and Lewis then drafted Mitchell Lewis .

SPS fallen out of favour?

My sources tell me that Culley and the club have had a falling out.
Club wanted to start talks about a contract extension, Culley's management hinted he's heading back to Vic at end of season unless Eagles can come up with a $1m pa 7 year deal.

Unfortunately, Gov has already called dibs on any spare salary cap space for his brother as they really want to play together, so Eagles have no room to move on their initial offer.

That enteringg Kurt Mutimer territory of contract sizes..

Not sure Gov's worth that.

I heard the same, but they were working towards a resolution where the Govs will substitute half their contract $ in exchange for Charcoal Chicken to get Culley over the line, but it fell through when Jai glanced in an eastward direction as he was about to sign and he was subsequently delisted immediately.

I just can't help but shake the feeling that Culley isn't going to be named this weekend, which would be bizzare:

-he was the star of pre season training
-club was talking him up
-plays well enough in the first pre season game
-bizarrely, gets omitted from the second pre season game
-club hasn't mentioned him since
Maybe Ginbey took his spot?

Yeo, Sheed and Kelly all played as well or better than him in the first game. So he's probably fighting for the rotations as he's not a winger. Shuey gets a spot off reputation and I think Ginbey gets the last one as he can play mid and back. He also played better in his preaseason game.

Culley could arguably have a go at HFF but looks like that want to try a specialist (long) there.

Bit of a bold call, based on what though?

Wasn't he left out of our senior team vs Adelaide recently? Then ran out and played in the magoos afterwards?

Doesn't scream injury to me Cotton.

I don't want to repeat what another poster said.

Some injuries clubs try and manage...........young players ramping up their training and going too hard too early.

I'm hoping it's not the case with Culley.

Heard club had a comp for best Dreadlocks and Culley won. Nic Nat chucked a hissy fit and refuses to play and Simmo’s pissed with Culley and has dropped him for breaking team synergy

A major blow for
@WestCoastEagles
- Elliot Yeo is dealing with a calf injury, and will miss round one. Scans confirmed the issue yesterday afternoon. Yeo has had a near faultless pre-season til now. Horrid luck for the 2-time club champion. More details on
@7NewsPerth
tonight.

Out: Elliot Yeo
In: Jai Culley

Everyone rejoices -- except for the Yeo is broken part
