Hey guys, I’m yet to set it up. But I have a free membership which includes general admission to all Essendon games in Melbourne. I got this through my university course and if anyone here is in need of a ticket, send through a dm. I’ll try set it up and send it through, as I’m unable to attend due to personal sport.

Really looking forward to seeing how our young players go, time for cox, hobbs, perkins, caldwell etc to stand up
Also looking forward to seeing Tsatas play, should have some more confidence, and may get more game time in the middle with Parish out, hope they put in in the centre bounce a few times.

Listening to coach’s Rd.1 media, sounds like Draper might be a go. Talked up completion of 2 VFL games, resumed full training etc

Not a fan of a 2 ruck model but he might still be the 2nd best KPF option we have after 2MP.

Looks like he’ll be playing if that’s Scott’s opinion. We don’t owe heppell anythingView attachment 1926795

Essendon coach Brad Scott has lauded veteran Dyson Heppell for carrying the club through its darkest chapter, saying the Bombers owe him a “debt of gratitude”.

His career from a club perspective has been “… nothing but turmoil. It was really one thing after another for him, and while we are all trying to move past the supplement saga a decade ago, he effectively had to be the face and carry the club through that period. He has been unbelievable for this football club, and unheralded and underrated for what he has done through difficult times. His value to us on the field, but mostly off the field can’t be understated.

In the face of everything that was going on, there is a young guy, soon to be captain, who for the bulk of his whole career, but he has still got an attitude of ‘yep, I’ve just got to deal with whatever comes. I don’t feel sorry for myself and I don’t get too far into the future with what is going to happen and I don’t dwell on poor me’. He is a great role model for our players so his importance to the Essendon Football Club and his legacy is enormous.”

Heppell, 31, looms as a line-ball selection decision throughout the season for the Bombers as the club looks to develop its batch of prized young draft picks in 2024.

I used to look at our best 22 prior to round 1 and think we had a lot of good players to the point some would be unlucky not to play.

This year I look and see shit trucks everywhere.

I’m not sure if this means my brain has been Essendoned or un-Essendoned or if it means that maybe we’ll be good now because I think this.

In summary, I have no idea anymore…but at least, please beat the poos and wees. 🙏
