Can't stand Hawthorn. Only second behind Carlton.
of our nemesi, these are the two rivalries i enjoy the most.

Banter with the blues is fun. We've been as shit as each other for over 2 decades, and the day either of us win a flag we're gonna be insufferable winners.

Hawks has proper history behind it. so respect it. And tbh, their fans aren't so bad to go to the footy with. Only time i've had a run in with hawks fans was getting a pissed dons fan to leave them alone (poor woman was on crutches and all)

pies fans at the footy are the worst. So much persecution complex, i can't deal.
as bad as our fans :p

Only bad interaction I've had at a footy game was with a Richmond supporter. I sat next to him all game and seemed like a nice enough bloke, at the end of it I said it was a good game and wished him good luck for the rest of the season. He then proceeded to try king hit me from behind as I was leaving. Thankfully he was far too intoxicated to carry out his plan. :tearsofjoy:

Defence in general

I'd expect stringer, Langford, Gresham and wright to do well in this game.
Though we have lost our best clearance player so that does balance things out a bit in terms of relief for the Hawks back 6

But once on the rebound we should have the quality of ball use to make the most of the advantage
Hardwick is playing back for this game as our other lockdown defender (Mitchell) is injured. If he takes Gresham with due respect he will do very well to have a good day. Hardwick is very good. Your bigs will get a hold of us for sure if they get easy supply. We just don't have the experience back there to stop it. Particularly as we will play Sicily in his usual role. He will try and peel off and help but it won't make a difference if there's unpressured ball movement further up the ground. You guys should win but I'm at least hoping we will apply ourselves much better than Round 1 last year.

Hey guys, I’m yet to set it up. But I have a free membership which includes general admission to all Essendon games in Melbourne. I got this through my university course and if anyone here is in need of a ticket, send through a dm. I’ll try set it up and send it through, as I’m unable to attend due to personal sport.

At the moment I just hate Sam Mitchell. He's a campaigner. And Sicily.

I hope we don't end up regreting letting go of D'Ambrosio.

Edit: Lolling at 'campaigner.' That's not what I wrote!

Mass could hurt but it won't be for years.

At the moment the Hawks faithful are in love with his kicking just like we were. They will soon learn about his defensive issues like we did as well
