This is how I would like to go in Round 1

Red and Toyd give ruck breaks. Mino over Campbell coz I don't rate him at all.

Bench gives us plenty of mid rotations and forward back changes if necessary.

I'm not so sure about a smaller backline because it's Freo. Bevo is not big on tailoring our team to an opposition. He'll pick our best week in week out defensive unit and look to build chemistry.

Aside from that, Freo will likely play Griffin and Z.Clarke and push one of them forward at regular intervals, so at least one proper kpp size defender would be useful.

For someone who promised to not mention Jongy again it appears your word doesn't mean a whole lot.
Plenty of Bush experts have written off league footballers before and got it wrong. You seem to go with the logic that if you put enough of our players down you'll be right eventually then you hang your hat on it.
Lin could easily win a Norm Smith for us in a premiership side because that's one of his attributes,he's a bloke who has a go. I'm also guessing he's a bloke who can keep his word which I'm guessing is something you don't dig at all.

I've said negative things about Dickson Jong and Hrovat

I've also said I don't rate Campbell or Rough as good enough to be number one rucks.

I am one of the ONLY blokes on here that still supports Jones and Griffen and did when they left the club rightly or wrongly.

Hated Higgins while he was a dog and even more now coz he played for himself.

I was a huge supporter of Wood JJ Wallis Redpath Hunter Stevens before most jumped on them

Pretty much on the money except for Dickson.

You love Lin all you want that's your prerogative mate but the day he wins a Norm Smith is the day I tattoo his face on my forehead.

A lot will change after the Collingwood match but if I had to pick a 22 tomorrow this would be it. My only issue with this team on paper is there really is only 3 stay at home/genuine forwards in that team, there will need to be a lot of rotation and rests as half forwards (not always a bad thing) for our mids, we just need to make sure there kicking goals consistently. Wanted to slot McLean in as he is someone who can be a specific forward pocket but there's too much depth and form of our midfielders that they need to play IMO. Daniel could come in for Jong although it's very hard not to pick Jong on the Melbourne performance.


*Adams - gets the nod for me at the moment, he's big body and intercepting of marks can be a weapon for us and he is clearly ready made... huge huge huge doubt on his disposal but it didn't look as bad in NAB 2 compared to NAB 1. It's pretty tight between Adams, Collins and Roberts though, interesting to see who plays V Collingwood.


*Roughead - went Roughead over Redpath simply due to versatility. He hasn't really impressed me in the two challenge matches but he can be so valuable to us because he can basically chop out anywhere on the field. I don’t know if I’m saying that because it’s what i want to hear but I think there is a spot for Roughy if he can add consistency to his game. He'll be second ruck to Tommy (just ahead of Will) and I noticed against Melbourne he was often going third man up to ball ups around the ground (tactic Bevo used a lot last year)

You have to take Fyfe on by weight of numbers. I agree, I would still love the coaches to do 5-10 minutes bursts of these two head-to-head like the Dangerfield - Fyfe matchup. Soooooo good for footy fans as long as the Bont wasn't getting completely toweled up in the process. Great for his development as well like the Wallis v Mitchell game where he had to pour the blood out of his boots post game was for Mitch....
