Bit disappointed with Ellis and Morris but will wait and see how they go in the next week or two, hopefully their scoring improves.

My other players last night were Deledio, Martin and Murphy who were all reasonable without being outstanding.

Nice work - but don't talk too soon haha, anything could happen tonight.

Would love to get one of those Collingwood youngsters, but just concerned with all those players to come back, hard to pick which one will stay on.

I think Paine is the only one that will have a permanent spot in the 22. Depends on if they persist with Dawes as the second ruck. If they do, he is the logical choice as third tall forward and the only choice really. With Macaffer out for the season this is his chance to cement his spot.

He presents well, has been clunking marks well and his confidence has improved every game in the NAB. I think the only reason he slipped so low through the draft is his height but his body is big enough to have an impact.

However if they choose to have both Wood and Jolly rucking, it will probably be at his expense.

With Ellis spudding up my round 1 score, I'm now commited to starting a non playing rook in the backs and Couch in the forwards this week & collect Bugg's & Kennedy's premo emergency scores. Only starting 2 more rookies in Magner & Redden and Captain still to play, so hopefully a 2200+ score is still on the cards.

So far 8/709 if I use my B & F emergencies scores* 6/496 if I don't.

Sidey's had 9 posses with 10 mins left in second. Usually hes also had 3 tackles by this time and more marks though.

Doesn't it count as a tackle when they hang on to the jumper and the player they have a hold of disposes of the ball? Mitchell, Franklin and Sidebottom have all had at least 1 tackle robbed because they don't count it.

A tackle is only counted when it is an immediate turnover or a ball up is called by the ump.

When a player is a full on tackle but handballs to his team mate running past a tackle is usually not counted. Also when they get a kick away with your example than it is deemed a non tackle only when the ball trickles off the boot and an opposing player gets the footy creating an immediate turnover.

Very happy with Mitchell so far and happy to not have given Swanny the captaincy but knowing him he could still pull off a 130. Disappointed by Sidebottom so far but many have him so it doesn't hurt much.
