We could target Darcy imo. Have someone playing hard on him, Chom and Logue for example and then having Chom or even someone like Maley target him for intercepting. He's tall but if they stop his run and jump at the ball then that will stop him.

If we set up to attack off that and don't ** it up we could really ** them up. But we need to show more than we've shown for a while to do that.
Malicious!

Whilst your there can you explain 30.5 points for the uninitiated

It's basically 30 points in, or the assessed margin by the bookies. If you bet on us at +30.5, you collect if we win, or lose by up to 30 points. If you bet on Western (-30.5), you only collect if they win by 31 or more points. The odds are basically even money for both, less the bookies' take, i.e. you can get $1.90 for either of these outcomes.

Xerri to beat English, is a fine opening gambit
He might beat him or break even statistically, but we will need a significant shift is Xerri is to:

A: Refrain from taking it out of the ruck and booting it to no one, and
B: Actually hit our mids with his taps. The Dogs mids are ****ing incredible at reading taps, and Xerri himself is less from the silky cloth that Goldy was cut from and more from the brutish cloth that Mumford was cut from

I hate the way we match up against them. Everything about it goes their way. Hopefully things have changed a bit on our end by the time R1 rolls around

We are in for a rude awakening round 1. The only thing we have is perhaps a little inside information from Caleb, which could work wonders.

30.5 point margin is too tight. 45 points would be a $1.90

Well we managed to keep it under three goals in the first meeting with them last year, somewhat miraculously. It won't be another R23 but I do despair a bit. A running half-back line, seventy-three athletic KPPs, and a dominant midfield. It's like three kryptonite doses in one

A running half-back line

Parker, Phillips and Simpkin might have a say in this. We need to shut down Bailey Dale, sure.

seventy-three athletic KPPs

Well, two now that JUH isn't playing. They're good but we can cover them.

and a dominant midfield. It's like three kryptonite doses in one

We'd be stiff if Bont, Treloar and Libba all hit their straps in Rd 1. But even if they do, our midfield is also strong enough to compete.

Mate we’ve had our eyes wide shut for5 seasons if they’re not open for this game we are well and truly cooked, I reckon this is a turning the corner game, Roos to win I don’t care how they get it done but I will say I think our 3 trades will play a big part 👍

Dale, Bramble, Richards. Spose Richards is more of a wingman but he's the type to murder us in transition.

+ Lobb and Jones. One of them routinely gives Larkey a bath

No response yet to this. They manage to find handballs and free space no matter what we do. We should match up ok but just... haven't yet

Thats fine, we’ll get smacked by 60 plus. 30.5 is way too short. If you were a betting man and sensible with your gambling, you’d put your house on the dogs at 30.5 points
which you would have lost in r17 last year. anything make it tough for a young group to play against well drilled sides for the last two rounds last year you reckon?

You do that.

I've had a (far more modest) bet on us at the line.

No need to respond until the game is over.

If you need to dig as far as Bramble, your argument ain't real strong. At least you didn't run with JJ.

And Lobb has never given Larkey a bath. I don't think he's even played on him.
