My understanding is he’s got some family issues that are pretty serious. My gut is his preseason will be compromised but he will play. Surely the other teams have figured out by now that we are their best option for getting a key forward back into ripping form…

Doubt he's playing Rd1 in seven weeks with no preseason and having this stuff airex publicly.

More likely he goes on extended personal leave.

Archer/Weightman - Massive test for Arch round 1, Weightman is a seriously good operator. Last 4 games against North has gone 5,6,3,3, in terms of goals. We are his bunny. Arch needs to come out switched on.

Logue/Naughton - No brainer. Again a tough test for Logue who could be rusty

Comben/Darcy - Our best option here. No other way we can really play this.

Can finally free up Corr to play a bit looser, and become a true leader down there. Mcdonald to be squeezed out.

if they throw Lobb forward we could be in strife match up wise.

Im confident we can match them in the middle, and a forward line mix of Souva, Darling, Zurhaar could cause some headaches up forward for them.

Shoudl be a tight game.

Got pumped last time we played but we were mentally cooked by then.

Wouldnt shock me at all if Clarko picks Phillips to tag Treloar. Got 2 votes in each of the 2 games last year.

Running someone with Bont makes sense but he will still have 25+. Just need to try and negate his overall impact.

I think we are a 4 to 5 goal better side in 2025 than we were in 2024, and to be honest I'm not sure where their overall improvement comes from, especially with JUH looking extremely doubtful in round 1 and potentially beyond.
