Brisbane Reserves played all their home games at Moreton Bay Park in Burpengary last season. I live 5 minutes from that ground and went to all their home games
Matheson is a very good VFL player

How is Kai Lohman going? He looked a gun kid in the couple of their VFL games I watched.

Coff and Jones have been out for so long that they not even get gig in the seniors this year, Hayes has played one good game for us, and has not shown much else. DMac would be a bonus, and Billings just needs a string of big games in the VFL. Lyon wasn't involved in recruiting these guys and may not even be interested in putting work into them.
I don’t think you understood what I meant about competition for spots…

Hayes was good in all 5 games he played.

Pretty much every time Windhager plays VFL he shows he’s too good for it. Someone needs to inform Ross about that ASAP. Get him in.

I've expected that every week for weeks. I think he's seeing the real soul of this side. The kids who haven't learnt to coast along in second gear and fold before September so they can go on holiday are still going hard. Sydney might have won a premiership with a bunch of Cortinas, we look more like the burnt out shell of a Barina with the wheels stolen.

We should be allowed to bring rotten fruit to the next game.
And eggs?

You should buy it and turn it into a bed and breakfast cafe with a barrel themed decor.

I’m pretty sure the snowtownians would get right behind it and it would be sure to attract a special kind of niche tourist.

And if they wanted to get the full experience they could spend a night in the vault.

Evening cocktails like ‘Acid Euphoria’ and ‘ Limestone Fizz’.
See, I gotta like this for the amount of effort and creativity.
Irrespective of the humour.

I miss seeing the big fella out there. He came in and immediately took the game by the balls.
I remember that one time he just led straight out to the fifty and clunked one while wearing his defender on his back. Then went back and slotted it from 55. Footy can be real simple when you've got players who can do that.

Lol at Hayes only played one good game.
Good news on Hammer
Twin towers up fwd this week
Can't bloody wait to get a look at Max and the Hammer up forward, we'll look like a completely different team. Just checked the Sydney forecast for Sunday and they're saying a nice mild, sunny day, no rain. Sounds like good tall marking conditions to me. 🤔😀

That one game he was almost BOG then he was more serviceable than extraordinary. Was still looking like he owned a spot. Structurally and leadership wise I think he's the type we need. He's a proven match winner over a long time in the SANFL and plays like an experienced solid leader. I think he'll surprise a few when he gets back in.

and keep him in

I'm happy for him to have to earn his spot. When you are trying to play for finals you want spots to be hard earned not gifted.

We played kids in the midfield against Adelaide and it wasn't a major success and went back to the old guys. We want Windhager to come in and play like his spot is on the line when he does come in.

Haven't seen the Giants much this year, but with Taylor going down they certainly look a bit vulnerable down back. As always the midfield is where it happens but if we can get some decent entries (🙄) there seems to be a chance to kick a few goals. We definitely seem like we'll have some height mismatches up forward, hopefully some good running patterns can open up enough space. A very new dynamic there, might take a while to gel as has been mentioned, but might just click nicely too.

Seems unlikely Steele will play. If that proves to be the case, all of a sudden a flashpoint of sorts appears for Jack Bytel. As pretty much a one position player at AFL level (the position Jack Steele plays), if they choose to bring Windhager in instead (which seems quite possible), well I would suggest there is the writing on the wall for Bytel. Might not happen, don't mean to be making mountains out of molehills, just another interesting aside to this week's selection.

I do wonder how many changes they'll make this week. We sorta know the boss doesn't like changing it up too much at any one time. Membrey obviously out for King. I reckon the boss digs Jimmy Webster, comes in for Paton. Sounds like Gresh will play, maybe for Byrnes? That's a tricky one. So is this one. If Steele out, my guess is Bytel in, Windy sub. 😲
