Honestly though, its about as deserving as "generations" are as a categorising concept. Theyre basically made up garbage anyway (originally to sell books) that vaguely reflects a very broad age range. Having all the labels basically reduced to "boomer = old/out of touch" and "millenial= young/lazy etc" is just as useful anyway.
So are you a baby boom denialist?
And I can't think of anything we say that wasn't made up at some point!
More seriously though, it's interesting being in Japan and comparing the postwar generations and stereotypes here to the ones back home. Trends are trends, can't escape them!

Hasnt Windy only played like 20 games? A few as the sub and a few as a high half forward. so lets say its 10 games as a pure mid and 7 of those he got 15 touches or more (whilst also playing on an oppo mid).

Id argue that your stats paint a picture of immense potential.

Don't get me wrong he has huge potential but he's not looking ready to control the midfield to me. He's exactly that, a high potential kid who will get his chances around the fringes and has to make the most of opportunities in a side heading towards finals. Not a rebuilding list pumping games into youth in prime spots. Seb Ross looks like he's opening the door for him at the moment. Hopefully he gets in and makes Seb depth.

Generations have traits but the us versus them thing is a bit ridiculous. My parents are baby boomers and they aren't campaigners and their friends are mostly good folks too. Most millennials are good too, I'm Gen-X I guess but I still feel like I'm a millennial because I'm a lazy campaigner with a poor work ethic, emotionally soft and have an inflated sense of entitlement. ;)

My in laws are both boomers and they are lovely hard working people but they are 100% removed from reality about stuff like housing and politics. They genuinely believe houses can still be bought with 3 months saving as a deposit in the middle of Toorak.

I think every generation has a sense of nostalgia and sort of stops following current issues at some point in the mid lives. My generation is no different hence the spate of nostalgia pr0n movies being made right now, ****ing Beetlejuice is about to get a reboot and i think its idiotic but ill still watch it.

Yeah, my father in law is like that. Thinks that they had it tough so go without and shut up. Of course it was always hard but it's totally different now. You could pay off the average house on one average wage with about 4 years of income. Now the average house in Melbourne is over $1 million and wages haven't moved forward anywhere near the speed that property has.

You need 2 people working and it will take decades to pay off and if you want to have kids or anything normal it blows it all out. The only bonus is that property increases and at some point your asset will be worth a lot more than your loan.

Rents are also higher so harder to save for a deposit as well. If you haven't got parents that can give you a deposit now you're a bit ****ed or ultra disciplined.

Get off my lawn long hair!

Happens in cricket too. Have a close up on the ball in the air or along the ground so you can't see where the fielders are.
Just because you have cameras that can do close ups doesn't mean you have to use it all the time.

Crickets not that bad, you have expectations of where players stand and what captains try and they generally refresh when any amendment is made like cover going to square for example. Footy is infinitely more fluid and devolves into a rolling scum almost immediately where players just hyper focus a ball and run at it, the close camera is fine for the former since there's expectation, predisposition and you can easily overlay with a small image of a field and dots and it be fine for a while. The latter is not great since you have the rolling scum, the blokes dropping off, the runners, the KP and everyone might be swapping every 10-20 seconds about who is where doing what.

Do you think he amps it up, to show the GWS fan that he cares, maybe to get the fan to show some passion themselves?

He was never as volatile as an assistant, seems a bit fake for a guy lauded as a coaching genius or whatever they said he was
Kinsley used to occasionally give it to Richo in the box. Didn't look like he was holding anything back.
I'm sure that's why he wasn't there in Richos last season.
The fact that Kingsley argued with Cho was the main reason I assumed he knew what he was talking about.

Hopefully they are working to improve their goal kicking as it has cost us wins in the past and could have cost us another win yesterday.

We really should have won that game comfortably with all the chances we had but instead it was uncomfortable and stressful right until the end.

The positives were that our two main strikers King and Higgins were both pretty accurate, Higgins with 3 goals straight and King with just the one miss.
GWS missed some easy ones as well.

Guy I worked with told me a story that his roommates would steal towels from the gym, take them home and wash them, and then use them as bath towels.

It's this kind of discipline that will turn you into a home owner (if you're not rich like I am).

Happy to lend more financial advice to those who need it - PM's are always open xx

Not sure about your financial advice boss. Your gym towel thieving isn't for your savings. The only deposits you're making need stain remover.

Rewatched the game last night and I gotta say that Hunter was a little underwhelming.
Don't worry about it.
