Theyre basically made up garbage anyway (originally to sell books) that vaguely reflects a very broad age range. Having all the labels basically reduced to "boomer = old/out of touch" and "millenial= young/lazy etc" is just as useful anyway.
And I can't think of anything we say that wasn't made up at some point!
More seriously though, it's interesting being in Japan and comparing the postwar generations and stereotypes here to the ones back home. Trends are trends, can't escape them!
