So how many matches for Hunter here, 4 to 6?

None, the fox commentators already decided it was Rozee's fault for causing the contact.

As if the contact to the head and duty of care to your opponent stuff they've been banging on about for years doesn't exist. Absolutely shameless the double standards.

At least Eddie Betts stood up for us.

Max Gawn got two free kicks simply for being annoyed.
Not too mention Oliver getting one every time he put his hands up

they missed a heap of his throws as well.

and then sooks it up when he gives an obvious free kick away.

I reckon they got 5-6 frees from the centre bounce, maybe 3 in the 3rd quarter from frees that weren’t there.

If Rioli got 2 games for a slap in the face with a soggy lettuce leaf Hunter's should be a minnimum of 4.

The shock on his face when he finally got called for a throw was priceless. Same look as the son of a lawyer being caught out with a bag of white powder yelling "do you know who my father is?"

Definitely won't be 4 as rozee got up. Could have been very bad though.

Will most likely end up being 0-2. 2 is fair, 0 would be crazy.

How many for Viney trying to break legs?

Was out at Blues on Broadbeach last night so I've only just watched the brief highlights and haven’t seen Viney's attempts to tackle.

I will sit down a little later to view the full reply and submit my final report to the MRPT:)

That little bit of interaction between JHF & Conner in the last quarter - Goal of the Year or Play of the Year? Take your pick!

Really wish I had been at this game. It’s killing me that I wasn’t. Caught bits including the last 5 minutes on my phone, but will need to watch the replay. Had another thing on in town that I’d told my fiancé we could go to, and stupidly didn’t look at the date. She said I could go if I wanted to, but it seemed like one of those “but don’t even dare” kind of scenarios.

I saw the first 3/4 then got busy at work and missed the last quarter. Managed to turn the radio on for the last minute and a half. Very happy with the result. Will echo the thoughts of many here that butters has totally arrived as one of the top echelon players in the game. At his size too it’s spectacular. We have the midfield now to be a genuine threat for a long time.

Enjoying the win.

Some positives of last night are the three young midfielders, our skills around the ground, periods of dominance, not senselessly aiming to Dixon, and the win.

Some negatives are not capitalising with goals in periods that we dominated such as the second quarter, the poor third quarter, and how many times we gave them the ball in the final 4 minutes of the game.

Where the * has Williams come from. The absolute clouds. He is making the extremely difficult look routine. I still cant believe it to be honest, i keep expecting him to fall off a cliff but it isnt happening.
He is just perfect one on one.

Even when it looked like his pace would get exposed he's just smart.

Like an old fashioned Port defender. Not quick but strong, composed and super super smart.

I am going to put in a special mention for the much maligned Scott Lycett who I thought did a pretty good job against the odds. The wet weather probably helped nullify the Melbourne height advantage but Lycett's physical presence was an improvement on Brynn Teakle. Scott Lycett probably won't make everyone's best player list but as one of those who has been hypercritical this year I am happy to give credit where it is due.

Our midfielders did what most of us knew they had to do and were outstanding. That was Zac Butters' best game for Port Adelaide as he showed amazing skills in the conditions.

The way the game started I thought the Umpire's were going to be a factor. I am still trying to figure out what that fifty that cost us the first goal was all about. On the night we got more free kicks than Melbourne but I suspect many of them were deep in defence. I will look at the reply to confirm those suspiscions.
Hes not best but he might just be most important this year.

What last night also showed is how good this midfield can be with a competitive, let alone dominant, ruck.

Please Port - don’t give up on Hayes. Develop him and Visentini to be the players they can be, just like Williams is becoming - the benefits will be enormous for that entire midfield.
