Almost every single pundit in the AFL media said they will be tuning into all of our games now (Box Office was thrown around).
I think almost everyone got carried away with the promising recent signs, particularly the win last week along with Reid's impact. I know I did.
That kind of praise is a double-edged sword, as demonstrated by some in here losing their heads. I expect a high level of criticism in the media this week.
I did wonder about the tanking thing but Occam's Razor would suggest that this (wildly fluctuating form) is just part of the process of rebuilding - by which I mean, so often people/pundits remark about only having to be off by a few percent to get flogged in this competition. This is more likely the explanation as opposed to even a subtle form of tanking from the coaching panel. The latter is too risky when it comes to breeding a winning culture and retaining guns from other states.
I won't lie, this is a very difficult watch today.

Once the yoof hit 50-60 games and become more consistent, so will our away performances. Also, we will add more quality young talent along the way which should also accelerate that process.
This is the reality of our footy club, we'll be flat track bullies for a couple years before we are contending for a gf. Probably looking like a few more years of putrid away games while the kids get used to the grind of fly in fly out every week.
