He's been referred straight to the tribunal.

It's at least 2 games.

The only thing he has going for him is Ginnivan didn't seem bothered by it.

Whilst I agree at the penalty, offences are sometimes sent to tribunal because the parameters the MRP have got to work with gives a inadequate result.

I remember once Hayden Ballantyne was referred directly to the tribunal. I think he got a week when this board assumed he’d get 4-5. From memory it was a bump that wasn’t exactly high but caused injury.

It probably was. At the time I was hoping someone would drop the knee into him.
Selwood tried to choke him, Atkins flattened him and Mansell elbowed him in the back of the head after he allegedly flirted with racism, it’s coming to a crescendo and someone will injure him eventually, imagine him against a genuine sniper and he goes to duck after chatting shit all game

Yeah i'd drop chappy, frederick, banfield, maybe someone for erasmus

For walker, sturt and maybe treacy

Chappy and freddie are gonna be great but i think sometimes you have to take the hit to make an example. Hell i would even drop lobb to send a message that no ones spot is safe all year, but we probably need the tall timber this week

Fwiw in classic dockery fashion i reckon we get it done this week

Not a chance Chapman or Lobb get dropped.

I didn’t even think Chapman was bad. He wasn’t as good as Young and Clark but was solid enough. His worst game this season is possibly better than Walker’s best. Walker looks like class with ball in hand but people are overreacting based on a guy that gets 12 disposals a game. Our other rebounders offer so much more. It’s not him that wins us games - we’d get the same result with Wilson - it’s not playing four talls (let’s face Ryan plays like one) in the back fifty.

For all Lobb’s faults he was better than Taberner on the weekend by a considerable distance. Dropping him would be overreacting. We know he offers much more than Treacy or Meek - pretending otherwise isn’t going to get us anywhere.

Frederick and Banfield consistently offer us ** all even when we’re winning games. They keep their spots based off a few cheap goals and the fact we have ** medium forwards on our list. I don’t think either will be dropped tbh. We needed to drop a forward for a midfielder and also improve the forward line. Unfortunately Switta has made sure it’ll be him and there isn’t much available to improve the forward line. Sturt isn’t ready - Treacy as a third tall is the only realistic option.

Ffs. I love my team, but there’s a few players you just watch the game for, that give you that happy football buzz. this year it’s been NOD (out for probably the whole year knowing our luck) switta, probably looking at 3-4, walker, apparently not best 22, and Fyfe, who is hopefuly back soon, but I think is reaching the perma-injured stage if his career. (and of course there was hilly. still not over that sad end to his career.) Makes losing to melbourne this weekend that much less fun. Unless of course we do the dockery thing and actually win, but that’s pretty fricking unlikely.

Score involvements for our forwards:

Walters - 5
Lobb - 4
Schultz - 4
Colyer - 4
Switkowski- 3
Frederick- 1
Banfield- 1
Taberner - 1

FWIW every single player in the team had at least 1 score involvement. Brennan Cox (a KPD) was the only other player we had with one.

The highest for the team was Will Brodie with 6 and Darcy and Walters with 5 each.

Poor numbers in general but some perspective where the problem lies. Taberner was first game back from injury and playing on our of the best KPDs in the league so we’ll give him some slack. The other two shouldn’t be playing in the next month at least.

Think Switta was frustrated with Ginnivan dropping his shoulder trying to milk another free. Did it numerous times to milk a high free kick and got a few.

Will probably get 2-3 given it’ll be intentional even though there didn’t seem to be any injury.
Which is interesting considering the criteria for consequence re dangerous tackles, concussion and other rough housing is dependent on the outcome, IE injury

What changes would you make then for this week?
If our depth is as good as everyone says then surely you can’t stand for that crap without a reaction at the selection table?
👍
I would rather see Treacy and Erasmus or Sturt playing with effort and fumbles than Freddy and Banfield with nothing and nothing

I agree with all of that, except we need to give Sturt 3 or 4 games to see what he can do. He isn’t staring at Peel but neither did Walker before he debuted …..some guys just can step up at the next level and we need to find out if Sturt can do it. I’m confident Erasmus and Sturt will come in this week for Switter and Freddy
