Wonder if they'll bring in Jayden Davey just for the occasion. Not that I would, but wouldn't surprise me if they do.
Was hardly sighted yesterday so maybe not.

It would be nice to start getting our mojo back in these fixtures. Richmond practically owned us for many years but after last season's amazing win (Thanks to Sammy Durham), hoping we can make it two in a row and many more with each year. It is out time Bomber fans! Lets fire up!

We're going to need to absorb some serious heat at the start of the game. Richmond in a marquee game coming off a serious belting will be super keen to make amends. Their injuries combined with the form of some of their older heads says we should win pretty well, but we'll need to be ready for them to throw everything at us from the opening bounce.

Did he not litteraraly start against Gws on the wing?

Checks replay. He's number 19 no?
And this week a few times as well

Out: Goldstein (managed), Shiel (omitted), Durham (ankle)
In: Bryan, Ridley, Parish (if fit)

Laverde (Martin) - McKay (Balta) - Kelly (Mansell)
McGrath (Lefau) - Ridley (Cumberland) - Martin (Green)
Davey - Caldwell - Heppell
Perkins (Vlaustin) - Jones (Young) - Gresham (Rioli)
Guelfi (Broad) - Wright (Miller) - Langford ( Brown)
Bryan - Parish - Merrett
Redman - Stringer - Tsatas - Hobbs
Hind

I like Hind in the team it's just where. Our backline fit there's just no room. Don't really rate him forward. He has pace and can fold back and forward so wing could be him provided he has the tank. Seems to.

Duursma could be better on the wing I guess too. Cox I'm not sure where he's best. Martin is another tricky one to place obviously he's doing great but kicking can be terrible. Pretty good to have so much versatility and upside and as mentioned above six good players to push for spots. All good problems at this stage of development.

Hepp on the wing? Too slow now no? I'd be going with Kelly or McGrath on Martin. Should be very interesting how it pans out we litteraraly have ten guys who are extremely capable in the back. They can't all play.

Bit of a worry if our continued centre square dominance relies on a 36 year old ruckman - if we can't trust Bryan now, we will be in trouble later in the year if/when Goldy goes cold or gets inj tired. It's time to bring the bird in and get him settled at the level, can be as a duo or solo

Yep this is the game. If we can't win this with him instead of Goldy then we are already cooked.

With the Blues game next week. Guaranteed something will happen to either Harry or Ben this week.

Remember they are the one person after all.

Or maybe play a half for each team?

We have GC in between

Scott said Durham was fine. They elected to manage him on the bench. He could have gone back out there if we needed him to.

This game is much easier for us than the North game on paper. Norths biggest strength is the same as ours, mids. And our mids were off massively so North were competitive for a long time. Richmonds mids could play their absolute best and ours play their worst and we should still smash them in the middle.

Extremely nervous with the Blues Blockbuster. Our biggest game for mine, I just hope we can get the choccies

Yep, definitely looks like we deliberately saving for Dreamtime. Just like Ridley playing just half a VFL game, saw enough that he will 100% inclusion for Dreamtime IMO.
Will be interesting if that’s what we did with Parish as well. Parish trained fine on the Saturday, didn’t have an event to cause the injury and probably could have played. Though Scott did not want to say either way if Parish will play for Dreamtime so who knows.

Maybe Scott doesn’t want to actually say that we rested/managed a player?

Including Parish, Cox and Ridley into the team will be pretty great. I think we missed Cox’s pressure acts during the North game.

For some reason Im more nervous about the Suns. Dynamic midfield groups have troubled us this year (swans, port and even North with a firing LDU/Sheezel). If Miller/Anderson/Rowell catch fire im worried it could be like the port game again.

Also, subbing out Jones who was looking good also. Wonder if we were thinking about Dreamtime all along?

We clearly came out in the third and played with intensity which virtually iced the game then just stayed far enough in front in the last.

Watching the replay, we did seem to drop intensity in the last.

Suspect we will be going full tilt in Dreamtime.

I notice the pattern of not being "ready" against teams we should dismantle comfortably a regular thing. West Coast game we were not great but did enough to just hang on.
North game yesterday, I could just sense it would be the same. They always bring us back to their level and we seem to struggle through games and just do enough. This weekend vs Richmond, we won't flog them, we just need to ensure we do enough to get the 4 points. At this stage of the year, bank the points and run...!
