Out: Shiel,Goldstein (rested),Hepps (rested)

In: Ridley, Bryan, Parish

Hobbs/Hind sub maybe?

Richmond's midfield is shocking - pretty much their entire first, and second string are out injured- could probably just play Hobbs as a genuine on-baller and let Parish have the extra week.

I notice the pattern of not being "ready" against teams we should dismantle comfortably a regular thing. West Coast game we were not great but did enough to just hang on.
North game yesterday, I could just sense it would be the same. They always bring us back to their level and we seem to struggle through games and just do enough. This weekend vs Richmond, we won't flog them, we just need to ensure we do enough to get the 4 points. At this stage of the year, bank the points and run...!
For sure. As ant555 alluded to this is a work in progress.

In the past the North game was often a loss so a 40 point win is all we need to do.

Also, subbing out Jones who was looking good also. Wonder if we were thinking about Dreamtime all along?

We clearly came out in the third and played with intensity which virtually iced the game then just stayed far enough in front in the last.

Watching the replay, we did seem to drop intensity in the last.

Suspect we will be going full tilt in Dreamtime.
Jones had a touch of flu. Which is what kept Cox out. Harry had recovered enough to play but they likely wanted him to go easy so subbed him.

Sorry mate, my sarcasm to the rest of the Essendoj Bigfooty crew here

Is this you cracking the sads over setterfield the inside mid being played on the wing where he has failed repeatedly throughout his career vs Hind who has shown he can play wing and actually has traits that translate to the wing position?

For some reason Im more nervous about the Suns. Dynamic midfield groups have troubled us this year (swans, port and even North with a firing LDU/Sheezel). If Miller/Anderson/Rowell catch fire im worried it could be like the port game again.
Yep Suns at Metricon will be tough, not near impossible like in Darwin but still very tough.

Still don't know why people think they're playing finals when they haven't even won a single away game yet... they're a slightly better west coast at the moment who have played more home games against easier opposition.

Six wins so far have been

Metricon - Tigers, Crows, Hawks, Eagles
Darwin - North, Cats (i think they smack a 100% strong cats side in Darwin as well)

Their only home loss is gather round vs giants so doesn't really count.

To finish the season they have 8 games away versus 5 at home and their remaining homes games are

Us, Pies, Power, Demons and Lions.

Maybe next year Dimma, but until you win away (and North and richmond will not count) no one should be taking you seriously.

A lot of changes getting thrown around for a team coming off a 40 point win and sitting second on the ladder…
