Preliminary ideas are:
Kelly > Smith (via McLean to mid - can swap back later)
Murray > Yeo

Will have a full backline, midfield, and ruck, however this will be my forward line for this week :

That is not ideal at all. Trades look good on paper but when you show a forward line like that you know you're asking for a down week this one. Depends on whether you're okay coping that?

I think I am okay with it. I would love Walters but already have a horrendous r14. I can move McLean back soon, and will get Gray next week, but the only other rookie I'm fielding in my entire team is Doedee.

I'm so far behind I need to try less-than-ideal trades to try and maximise points each week, while also preparing for the long game. Everyone needs to start some rookies, I'm just throwing them all in one position because forwards score the worst anyway

In your position I'd rather grab Walters with the low BE and Yeo next week, but if you're that worried about your bye rounds then I can understand why you might want to miss Walters.

I guess you have to ask yourself - do you want him in your final 6 forwards? If the answer is yes he is probably a must have this week at his price.

Well after a week of absolute carnage I went:

Gowers > Franklin
Holman > Rockliff

With all but one (Banfield) of my bench out, I reckon team selections this week will absolutely ruin me.

$251,600 in the bank
16 trades left

What would you do?

Some options I am thinking about...

1)
Cole to Walters (Sicily to DEF)
Brayshaw to Rocky

2)
Cole to Boak (Sicily to DEF)
Fritsch to Rocky (Petracca to FWD)

3)
Cole to Smith (Sicily to DEF)
Langdon to Walters or Rocky (Petracca to FWD)

[Next week] Fritsch to Gray or Boak

Thoughts?
Option 1, time to load up & get closer to final 22. You've got plenty of cash cows

My trades are going to hinge on how Sandi recovers from his knock yesterday, if he's out I'll bring Ryder in.
If he's right to go will be looking at other options.

He's gone!!!!! Sam f****** Jacobs is gone!!!!!!!!!!

Get around me!
Same. Probably the most satisfying trade I've ever made. Haven't seen a supposedly gun ruckman fall away as quickly as he has. He's been towelled up most games. Sauce to Witts it is. Helps with the byes.

Took a punt on Angus Brayshaw last week. Very happy with that. Sauce to Witts, Telly to Walters for me this week. Taking a risk by missing out on T Smith

Strongly considering. Might skip Rice/Ridley and get Rocky instead.

This is the exact debate I'm having.

Higgins > Smith via Spargo is a lock but then a question of the following two trades

Murray > Ridley/Rice - which gives me an irresponsible 769k in the bank, with five relatively cheap upgrades to go (Doedee, Richards with a 102 in his system, Holman with a 122 in his system, Fritsch, Ronke)

or

Banfield > Rockliff, saving Murray > Austin for next week.

Beginning to lean to the latter.

I missed out on Zorko, I'm NOT missing out on sexy Rockpig :boar:

Although in a team still missing Oliver, Danger and Macrae I'm worried I'm doing my usual trick of bringing in a fallen spud who is nowhere near a top 10 mid.

Looking at you Zerrett you prick. Sometimes I get too seduced by low prices.

If i bring in Rockliff my mids will be Fyffe, Cripps, Titch, Martin, Bont, Cogs, Zerrett, and Rockliff. Not exactly star studded for SC.

That being said it's, only a 390k investment, and I can always loop him. I'm making money on T.Kelly.

That's what I'm thinking. I reckon every rookie keeps his spot and even Murphy comes back in for the Crows.

There are a couple of juicy upgrade options tempting me, but I really need to generate some cash.

ZGL to T Smith is a given.
Duman (don't think he'll be back anytime soon) to Ridley/Rice. Maybe Rice as some of you more enlightened
feel he has the better job security.

Or maybe just the first trade as I'm already down to 15. Dunno.

Been holding Deledio last few weeks, hope he's back this week. HTFU LIDS!!!

Lloyd too expensive to trade in now. Not convinced he'll continue this hot streak so would be paying overs for him. Seriously considering Angus Brayshaw for D6. Have enough cash to go Finlayson> Brayshaw. Ave 101 last 4 weeks and $422k. This is the week to do it.

Guys, probably going to bring in Walters this week.
Pick one to trade out.....Fisher or Fritsch. Who do you think will average higher from here on?

You reckon he'll keep it up?

Edit: Wonder what his heatmap is like...
