Just doing some research.

Can't believe I'm gonna say this but Cotchin is an interesting one. Take out his injury effected game he has only gone sub 100 once in 7 games (a still relatively respectable 87 in round 1) with three scores 120+.

Priced at 547k is pretty reasonable value. Just don't reckon I'll ever have the aggots to pick him.

Currently my trades are

brown>mathieson
hewett>Mcveigh

Taking a chance that mcveigh will finish up with a mid 90's average which means he should be around the 100 mark for the rest of the season.
Also, he is the best dpp defender(who i dont have) available in my opinion

Thinking I may hold off this week, but open to suggestions

Could possibly do Menadue/Papley>Collins via Brown

Team is below (18 trades and $12k in the bank)

Where are you ranked?

You're in a very similar position to me structure wise. I would say hold and let your cows moo a bit more, but if you're ranked highly and want to make ground it could be worth burning 2 trades and finalising one more spot on the field.

18 trades of KeithRichards impressive

$525K to spend on a fwd if I upgrade this week - Gunston, Tippett or Bartel (DPP) - all 3 above 107 5rd avg and 3rd avg proj 108, and good for byes

or wingard

or wait a week and go for dahl
At this stage, bringing in a rd 14 bye player (Dahl) next week gives you only 2 weeks before their bye, seems a waste. You might as well wait. I would have a preferance for brining in a rd 15 bye player then you 4 games or 3 games from next week. I got Zorko last week for this reason as with 5 games leading into the bye.
All depends on your bye structures though.

Paps to collins
Hewett to tippett

If cash allows if goldy misses

At least north play Friday night so we will all know before the start of the round. Imagine the carnage if they played Sunday twilight and he was a late out!

Around ~3300. How bout you?

Might hold off, though will think about Robbie G and Tippet as per other suggestions. Thanks

Suuurely Brown will hit his BE (51) this week... right?
I think he will
I can see him slotting a goal or 3 against the trashcans Freo

Good suggestions. If goldy is out I will almost be forced to grab Tippett too.

I'm sitting at 1043. 800 odd off the leader, so a fair way back.

Almost all my cows still have some mooing to do, and usually I would not even think about trades.

But, to try to make some ground I could do- Hewitt and brown to tucker / Collins and lids or a premo defender. Problem is that Hewitt has a little bit of cash still to make and lids won't go up too much so waiting a week won't matter.

All comes down to how much value there is point-wise in trading earlier than I normally would.

Only 2K - 19 Trades
After some advice on Trades/Hold. Any strategies welcome. I think I need to work on cash generation?

Ruc: Gawn, Natanui, Grimley
Fwd: D Martin, Zorko, Montagna, Petracca, A Hall, Barlow, (Kerridge, Kennedy)

Ban please.

If the cats midfield gets ragdolled by the giants this week like they did in round 2, Jelwood might be under $500k after this weekend.

I'd suggest you upgrade him to a potato ASAP. He's been sooooo disappointing. He's much better than what he's shown but do you keep putting up with being dropped and awful scores? Probably not.
If I upgrade him to a potato he'll get along just fine in my team.:)
Think I have to start looking at cheaper premos to complete my team.
Wingard, McVeigh types. Maybe Gray.
