Anyone thought about Connor Blakely? Could make some quick juicy cash before his bye and subsequent cull? Breakeven of -50 and around 280K..

I have 19 trades in hand and was thinking
Stef - Gawn
Kennedy - Blakely

No, the bet is I have to do them. (Haven't washed a single dish in 8 years) I'd be bet welching if I delegated the job out. If I bought a dishwasher, that would be a win for her, since she always does them. :(
Sounds like she has set up/ traded - just for this win!

need advice fellas!
Give that mega spud Stef Martin one more chance? or swap for Gawn?
Got a feeling i'll trade him out and he'll go bananas against the blues.

I'm not in Div 1

I'm in the very impressive group that is Div 5 - we doing well in 460th (spuds)

Don't dis Div 5.
It's the only league I can get a win in!

The Hedgehog.

RJ ex teacher he was too.

Are people in here getting a bit of cabin fever? Seems a bit of nasty has been creeping in lately.

Just sayin

BF Div 2 #72 overall. Would be higher but Sydney Kicker doing a Manboob

People warned me about too many mid price defenders. They were right. I wasn't.
Plus the number of guys getting injured in games has killed me especially Trent $#%$ing McKenzie.
Choose Fyfe ahead of Danger.
Having to carry guys with LTIs like Rocky
the list goes on.
Can't take a trick this year. but I'm not going to be a ghost ship - I'm keeping trades to ship out some dregs during the bye rounds and should come home ok.

Definately of value but what I would call a 'luxury trade'. That is, a trade you make when you have a premium team and no other problems to solve. Otherwise you are spending money and trades early for a player on your bench "in case there is an injury" which takes money away from what you can do on field - which is where he points are being scored week in week out.

Just my 2c and not necessarily going to result in more points.
Usually I'd agree for all other lines, but Ruck is unique in the sense that usually you won't have cover and would cop a donut if one of your rucks are rested for a week (unless you have cox, which I don't). Someone like Tippett or Lycett would be very good F6's, who also give you peace of mind if one of your rucks are rested for a week.

I have tried to upgrade as quickly as possible as in a few weeks all the top sides will be full of premiums and getting a jump in the rankings is far harder in my experience.

This week, it was going to be the defense that is upgraded. I have Brown and Hartley who are maxed out but my D5 and D6 are Adams and Tippa, who have been holding their own.

As such, should I downgrade one of Brown/Hartley to Tucker/Collins/Trengrove and upgrade one to Simpson/Boyd/Rance/McVeigh?

or given the success of Adams and Tippa, hold for now and see if trades/money needs to be spent elsewhere?

Here is my team...

I have 15 trades and 85K in cash
Your team is looking pretty solid. Unless you are right at the top end I would consider holding.
If you dont see adams as a keeper, i would move on him but its a bonus at this stage.

OUT Menadue, In Collins
OUT Murphy, In Gray

100k to spare for a
OUT Hartley In Cole

And hopefully Treloar as he has a favourable bye...But we shall see

Next week :)

Continuing my last post, after another frustrating round last week I did a bit of team analysis on my rookies and midpricers to confirm what went wrong...

figures in blue - owned and counted that round
figures in red - owned and benched that round
italics - not owned that round

What did I learn...mostly the obvious I already knew. Essentially I've been killed by rookies that have massively exceeded expectations like Adams who was sitting on my bench in the first 2 rounds while Yeo and Rich spudded it up.
