Nobody is saying he's a must have, he's just a good cheap option to bring in in round 13 to strengthen your byes, especially so because round 13 and 14 are the hardest bye rounds
Most will bring him in as a temporary M8, or as their F6, some with the intention of keeping him as a cheap M9/F7
Stack + $65k will get me Gray, noice!
Big Birchy called him a must have not 30 minutes ago

Sexy Robbie is past it, old man with groin injuries spells trouble.

Wouldn’t call him much of a warm body, highly doubt he plays out every game for the season from here.

You would only consider if you had low trades with nothing to lose

That's code for you're bringing him in this week, isn't it? :D

stevebbb you down to single figures yet?
Still got 14 after 2 this week
Most likely no trades next week, maybe 1 if I have to
Dropping 3 in round 13 100%, then 2 or 3 in round 14 to sail into single digits

You make it sound like Gray is completely unproven when playing in the mids. Take most midfielders and chuck them into a forward pocket role and see what they average, because it's not going to be any better than Gray, injured or not. If he has had a midfield role change, there is no reason to suggest that he won't average a minimum of 90ppg in that role. My only query is will the coach keep him there or swing him deep forward asap.

IF he plays mids you're totally correct, worth keeping an eye on to see how he scores.

I actually didn't even realize he was back already :p

27 touches, 2 tackles and a goal isn't bad at all

Only thing which stopped him tonning up vs Hawks by the looks was his 48%DE and 5 turnovers..

Colour me intrigued. What happens when Ollie is back though?

Good thing is we get 1 more game to look at him before his bye.

I don't want another Rd13 bye forward though. If you've have Gawn & Grundy + Danger & Kelly in the forwards & a bunch of Rd13 bye defs, a Rd13 bye forward probably isn't a good move. Unless you're from the **** the byes school of thought.

**** the byes 4 lyf!!!

Ollie Wines' return could effect his mid time, for sure. Or it effects some other players midfield time. I think his mid time is more dependant on how Port's smaller forward half types like Rozee, Butters, Sam Gray, Motlop etc are going without him there.

Seems like your answer to the big 3 questions is yes

One good game in China might open the trap right up

Seems like you're putting words in my mouth.

"What has changed since then... is he over his injuries? Is he getting midfield time now? Will he continue to get midfield time? If the answer is yes to all 3 then he is a must have at sub 400k."
