Autopsy Round 12: Hawks v Eagles

no change, cant drop CJ and Glass after 1 game.
We have dropped players off one game before. I thought Glass was okay enough.

CJ i would love to just go back to the ressies and work on his game. His disposal is just so far off AFL standard at the moment unfortunately.

Not only has the ceglar experiment been a disaster but it’s also destroyed big boys ability to ruck and have an impact around the ground. That’s the least effect I’ve ever seen him have on a game. Happy with the effort this week, but we are just an extremely poorly skilled team without football smarts

Fine effort but skills and decision making just not up to it.

Day a shining light once again.

Fingers crosses for Sis.
Pooping myself for the Port game! Kind of scared to try get a ticket now haha

I thought our midfield was better. WC have a quality unit + McEvoy was getting slaughtered by Nic Nat so the efforts of O’Meara/Worpel/Mitchell was good. Unfortunately all of them lack polish with the ball.

Our forwardline was dysfunctional. Yes, I acknowledge our delivery from the midfield was atrocious. But our forwards barely provided a contest. And this doesn’t just go for the younger players - guys like Bruest seemed to be taking the piss.

Day will be a hell of a player. Thought Scrimshaw was good bar some kicks. Didn’t mind Glass or CJ although they didn’t set the world on fire. There were a lot more positives than last week but man I’m getting tired of the same old negatives.

Wasn't horribly disgusted with the game, most of the boys had a decent crack in the second half.

Enjoyed watching Worps, JOM, Day, Gunners and Glass tonight all played well I thought.

I'm not sure you can blame Ceglar on McEvoy's decline.

It's the very reason Ceglar was to be our 1st ruck.

Anyone in the camp that players are untouchable are in LaLa land. Mitchell, Bruest, Gunston are absolutely on the table for first round picks. We need a serious clean out and some youth injected. Gonna be some pain along the way but we need talent.
Stratts, Burgoyne, Poppy, Hendo, Scully, Frawley -Retired

Day, Glass, Worps, scrimshaw were positives today. I fear Morrison and Nash might just not be up to it. Need to give Ross, Moor, Jones and Walker a crack. No more wins this year with Frawley, Mcevoy, Burgoyne, Stratton in side. Absolutely ludricous.

Aim should be finishing below North so we can fleece Sydney an extra first rounder.

Simply not in the same realm as the Eagles. We've not the players on the park with anywhere near the size, skill or confidence to compete currently.
Stratton was and is by far the worst choice for captain I've seen in all my days.
Enjoy fellas what you all saw against the Tigers, Lions and Blues because that's the best we'll have to have to recall in this dog's breakfast of a year.
I hate 2020 with a passion.

Effort was good.

Will Day is pure class. We got one.

Mitchell and O’Meara tried hard as usual but lacked impact, also as usual. The latter tackles well but can’t kick. He should be redeployed as a tagger.

In addition to Day, I thought Worpel and Scrimshaw were good. Glass showed a bit. The gradual injection of younger players a good thing.

The game’s highlights:
1. Day
2. Worpel long goal In the wet
3. Passage of play in midfield with Worpel and Day handballing and fend off (before O’Meara Clanger).

Lowlights:
1. Sicily injury. Fingers crossed not a disaster
2 Stratton, Frawley and McEvoy were all terrible. Nash has had no impact in his two outings. Will be lucky if he gets a third
