I don't understand it.

Before the game Collingwood were 2.10 and Melbourne were 1.75.

I put 300 on Melbourne over 15.5 and 150 on them to win I was that confident. Mind you, I'm not a massive punter usually at all but I just couldn't understand how Collingwood were 2.10. Based on what?

Also, why the hysteria over Collingwood losing? Going into the game Melbourne had a far superior football side with talent all over the park. Ran much deeper in midfield and are playing significantly better football and system then Collingwood. They are a much better football side all round.

Collingwood should have gone in at 6 dollars.

Just my take.

Rolled (twice) by one of the most irrelevant teams of the last 50 years, things aren't great down at Magpie Land.
Don't suggest for a second losing to Melbourne is the cause of things not going great at Magpie land. You've landed yourself in this because your president can't seem to get your coaches chop out of his gob and couldn't wait to move on MM who, the year before, had won you a flag.

So much for your 'succession plan'. Buckley took you to the finals in 2012 but since then you've been making up the numbers. Any chance you had of maximising the potential from your 2010 list went to shit when you appointed your favourite son. Well we've all seen how that's gone. Voss, Hird, and now Buckley. Can play, can't coach.

Your administration is to blame for moving on MM prematurely and thinking it would be 'appropriate' and 'fitting' to have Buckley coaching. And if Melbourne are so irrelevant then perhaps you need to look at your so called stars and how they've been performing. You've got no depth, your best forward plays VFL, as does Aish, and Treloar is a one man show. Pendelbury looks disinterested and sick of carrying the load, you're not fit, and you can't defend. The win against Geelong has saved Buckley from getting sacked today. Even though he should be.

I've found that you can often see skewed odds when Collingwood is involved. I think the bookies try to stem the risk of a bleed due to dumb Collingwood supporters backing the Pies regardless of reality, and it's enough to create a need to shift the market just in case.

Haha you harsh bastard.

Well, to point out the obvious, we haven't appointed a coach who is a favourite son of the club have we?
No. Your favourite sons tend to avoid the place.

Anyway who was talking about Melbourne? I was simply pointing out not all favourite sons are destined to fail at coaching.

Punters still don't trust us (fair enough too). Will be more value bets on us for the rest of the season for that very reason.

My mate at work was happy today as he got on Melbourne 40+. Thought it was a brave bet but he was very confident in the Pies' ability to fail against higher rated sides.

LMAO ... :thumbsu: I bet you 99 % of them around here ... dont even know why!!

.... there is a plausible excuse ... Probably because the Herald Sun or AFL.Com hasnt written the article .... yet.

Please dont hold back - tell us what you really think. ;)

Anyone else think Treloar is incredibly overrated? Looks flashy but is an absolute turn-over merchant by foot. Makes Dangerfield look like Robert Murphy.

Tough call - but you are right about one thing "things arent great down at Magpie Land ... and whats tougher is ... it ain't looking like its going to get much better in a hurry.

Sure our history hasn't been glorious in the last 50 years ... but you cant change your past only influence your future. Positive little place these days down at Goschs Park. Sounds like the negativity has moved 500 metres up the rood and 100 metres the other side of Brunton Avenue.
