We dominated that quarter but find ourselves down. Unfortunately if Essendon come out swinging I think we lose this comfortably.

Backline has been very good considering we’re undersized and the midfield is down.

He came in side on but was in front of the contest, he didn't run from in front into him. He also barely touched him.

Wow, completely different to how I saw it. Forceful and front on and only impacting the player, not the ball.

Anyway...nice to get to half time with our teeth right in to this but missed a chance to put an extra 2-3 goals at least on the margin.

Yep uncontested mark with 3 blokes standing around him is very poor. Especially when they should be making sure we kill off their last chance before the break.

Last goal hurts but really good quarter .

Need to keep that pressure up the rest of the game though as they can kick 3-4 goals quickly.

Love the effort , pressure and everything bar our set shots

That defensive effort was pretty poor that last minute with loose Bombers everywhere, was obvious that they would squeeze a late goal.

Despite that, we are the much better team being let down with bad set shots. I feel like that issue has been happening for a few years now post-threepeat.

Hopefully we can maintain the effort and motivation into the third.

Horrible kick from Day exiting. Kicked it to Moore, Breust and Phillips as targets - mind you it did not help that no one contested it.

Jeezus he is statistically the fourth worst kick at goal in the entire league. FOURTH WORST. Based on expected accuracy. the only accuracy stat that matters. So yeah, one kick, EMD.

Firstly it’s accept. Secondly that’s not the point. We sold the farm reasonably expecting to get an elite / small forward/midfielder. Instead we have a very inconsistent B + player at best.

We overpaid for JOM but this year he has stepped up into the A + / Elite category. Wingard is no where near elite and that is the issue

To be honest it's been a good effort I think 80% off the game has been played on Clarko terms.
Not sure we can sustain that for the whole game they will eventually open us up.
In saying that the negative is the kicking and skill execution it's poor but we are at least applying all ourselves the way the coach wants.
