I am definitely going for the reserves match. Have not been keeping TABS on Haimmelburg and Finlayson as I should. With Leon mentioning Barret again pointedly I want to.see where he's at as well. Have just learnt Smith to play NEAFL that just means it's not optional

Is there a curtain raiser?

I hope so, I love the Giants crowd at Manuka so I have high hopes for the real home ground.

Can one wear a Giants members cap with his Carlton members jacket? hmmm lol
Yeah you be fine. Its common with us for people to have multiple clubs. Just watch one of the many junior giants doesn't spill an icecream on you. Usually plenty of room to make space.if necessary.

I agree, Weitering is more than capable of rebounding for us, I didnt realise it was only 1cm difference.

Kruez vs Mummy should be a great contest, I also see Rhy Palmer being a big danger to us, we will put a lot of work into getting the match ups right that he could slip under the radar.

For my first visit to Western Sydney I am hopeful its a good close game, but will settle for a game that regardless of score both teams have a crack.
I think that's why we brought Phillips back in. Mummy would kill Kreuz if they were both rucking solo. Our only hope is that they are really tired and looking forward to the bye.

Game day! Sadly, can't get to the game today. Will have to watch a replay tomorrow. Let's hope the boys are on!
I was thinking around 14k today a couple of weeks ago.. From memory Carlton game last year had a lot of blue in the crowd. With the cold weather and in the twilight zone I'm now guessing closer to 10k? I'm really lookin forward to it and I am expecting a good contest.

Im looking forward to seeing what you've done with Phillips in the last 7/8 months. I really liked him when he was up here and pretty disappointed that we couldn't hold on to him.

14k might be a little optimistic but the sun is shining and not a cloud in sight so I'm hoping we can give the 12k mark a nudge

I know there are lies, damned lies and statistics. There are also other factors. It will also change after this afternoon. But - as it currently stands.....

Our most recent home crowd in Western Sydney where nobody is interested and nobody wants us was....
21,541

Collingwood's most recent home crowd, in footy heartland, at the spiritual home of footy - the MCG was....
20,320

The Mexicans need to shut the F up about our crowds. They no longer have a leg to stand on.

And the Swans most recent home crowd at their beloved SCG was 19,086.

So we're not traveling as badly as some expansion clubs! ;)

only 25% of our family members are going today, flu season is a bitch
Careful, I missed the Suns game with the flu and had to take a survey detailing what games I would be attending. I assume family means some children so I hope they go easier on them.

Nope, all 3 adults also accepted the Ult Giants function invite but wont make that either, was just making the point re crowds, so many reasons even people committed can't legitimately make it.. As we get bigger the impact will be less evident and the talk should die away

Fair enough my post was light hearted
Guess the thing that surprised me when I missed was if I've bought a seat why would you care? But they aslo sent email ro members last week asking to give tickets to freind if you cant make it, as if.
Seems to be about bums on seats not revenue.

They wanted a sellout and all seats taken. Hense the notification about wether using your seats.

If i got asked and couldnt get there then would see no issue with someone sitting in my seat. Im not using it.

Same, I guess I just expected it to be more about money. Swans game was the first time there have been no spare seats around but it worked well. Expecting it be a bit different today.
