I totally missed this - what happened?Also- could the Lions coaching personnel tape that nutcase Scott's rant on the Big O in the game before this. Whatever this headcase said did the job this time around at least. His best for quite some time. Thank you Scotty.
So who’s likely to get suspended /fined?
Big O high contact on Blicvas?
Robbo high contact on Parfitt?
Charlie jumper punch on O’Conner?
Any others?
Will be interesting to see if the AFL does anything.
Birch can come in and Ah Chee/Coleman out. I'd move coleman out probably, but I've overall liked his year but he's just a bit too in and out of games to hold his spot.
The real test will be what we do when Froggy and Dizzy are fit. Dizzy obviously comes straight back in, but the rest is a question mark. Payne's speed and athleticism offers more than Froggy but he doesn't have the experience or runs on the board.
It's one game.
I don't think McStay has done anything to our forward line except be a better player than anyone else we have for that role. I'm sure if Birchall played last night everyone would be saying the back line gelled impressively.
Overall there's too much focus on who should be in or out or retired . They're all good players . I don't think our performance is that much affected by who plays in the top 26 or so on our list as long as we don't have 2 or 3 critical players out at the one time.
The rule doesn't care where you make contact.I didn’t think there was much force in Hipwoods kick and it made contact to the opponents thigh. It was unlucky

I thought Payne spent quite a bit of time around Rowan.I am in no way seeing Birchall handle Dangerfield (or Ratugolea for that matter) like Payne did last night. Covering those guys just allowed the others to take natural match ups and helped the whole unit.
Where Birchall may have an edge is going forward where he gets involved in many more plays and takes the pressure off Rich. This is a valid argument but against Geelong I thought we actually moved the ball out of our backline better than we have all year.
Personally I would not be considering replacing Payne. Ah Chee only managed 2 disposals all night and generally was not given the big defensive match ups. I would have the pressure on him for his spot. I have come around to liking the flexibility he provides either forward or back but he has been played pretty much solely in the backline lately where he is not adding too much (at least offensively).
Watch the replay and with a straight face say it didn't have forceHas to be some force though
Dizzy obviously plays if he's right Jackess but I wouldn't be taking bets on that dodgy shoulder this year. Hard to get any gauge on how it's going.Dizzy comes in for Adams. Clear upgrade
Dizzy comes in for Adams. Clear upgrade
After seeing what Adams produced last night, "clear upgrade" is not a statement I'd agree with.
Adams was one of the best out there and matched up better with someone like Hawkins.

You've already dismissed Adams game from last night and calling for "clear upgrades", may be yours is worse than mine. Didn't you keep going about Dev's game last week and how it didn't qualify as good effort? On the same breath you are disputing one of the best games from Adams against someone whose injured and not even playing. Go figure.
Don’t know where to start with this level of stupidity.
trying to match your level. I'll keep trying.
Where did I question Devs effort? Where did I even mention how well Adams played last night?
Not going to dig through last week's thread and multiquote, waste of time.
You've mentioned Dizzy comes in for Adams as a clear upgrade, all I'm saying is not based on last night's effort.
