Just a question to float out and leave people to ponder, those of you looking to bring in Darcy Cameron in the FWDs as ruck coverage, have we considered when Collingwood play each week?

After this bye round, it's:

There's not a lot of opportunities you'll be able to swing him for late outs, so you'll purely have to rely on him covering when rucks aren't named on the teamsheets.

I'm not sure it makes a huge difference but might be something to think about

Let’s face it. Most of us going for rank will either be well and truly out of it in the next 4/5 weeks

And playing for rank screws your leagues in the finals so less likely the event of a RUC late out + going deep into league finals

In short. Trade and don’t over think it

Potentially, all depends on team selections. Oliver and Chesser are the question marks.

Assume I can get 18 players though. If it's a donut, then I'll just do option 1 or 2.

If Windhager will be useful cover / a potential late cash-in, don't mind option 3 with Walsh at all at that price point.

This is what I've got, 8 trades left and 322k in the bank, have already traded Ford to Maric.

I very nearly got rid of Steele instead of Ashcroft last round, and didn't..major regrets

I could still get rid of him but it means likely needing to bring in someone like Keays (to swing to F6) to be able to afford full premo with a better M7/8..already planning to bring in Mills.

What do people think? Stick with Steele and get a more convincing final def/fwd premo (and save a trade) or go with Keays and get a better M8?

Difference between a rookie score (ascroft) and Bont could be 50 points most weeks.

Difference between Humphrey at F6 and Cameron could be 20-30 the way the bear scores.

Which puts me in front. Prioritise getting in Uber premo basically over a premo.

I like the keays and DC ins, but Yeo is courting trouble. Slim chance of nott reinjuring himself. If you have the spare trades to get him out again then maybe, but who has trades lol.

Keays imo is ok, but getting to the point where he's not great value. Will the Crows keep playing him at CBA's or will they try Rachele/Soligo etc again?

Most likely, yes.

However, with the Clarry news I need to bring in two players who are playing for two who have their bye just to scrape to 17… 16 with Clarry missing again.

Ford and Cinc out for DC and Maric (really hate going early on rooks, particularly given that I, like 55% of coaches, are still carrying that spud campaignerstable on the pine).

Sturt and Johnson might not even play, then I will be down to 14

Not going to tempt fate and trade Ziebell either. I will just hold and hope that he becomes bench cover in the run home if I play my cards right, which I won’t.

If MJ fails to get up, should I trade for Keays?

I am planning to trade to Himmelberg next week at this stage, but unsure if there is a huge difference between their scoring for the rest of the year.

My only concern is I think Himmelberg's role is more set in stone than Keays

With Clarry out, unless one of Sturt or Sharp miraculously plays, I'm going to need to change plans to get 18 on the field.

Plan was Humphrey/Johnson/Ford to Parish/Cameron/Maric to complete my team with 8 trades left.

Instead I may do Wardlaw/Ford to Cameron/Windhager

Next week I can trade Humphrey/Johnson for essentially any mid and Maric. Will keep Windhager as an M/F swingman. 7 trades and a completed team.
