It’s odd, isn’t it. I don’t recall Harvey ever playing as a specialist forward.I still think Goddard as midfield coach and Harvey as forward coach is the most stupid idea in all of football

we got him as midfield depth for a player who wanted a fresh start. arguably hes better then a 4th round pick

Its not so relevant to be honest, the game has evolved well past anytime the coaches played with the exception of maybe 1. They would all be students of the current game, just sometimes, someone just isn't a great coachIt’s odd, isn’t it. I don’t recall Harvey ever playing as a specialist forward.
Plenty of great coaches are responsible different area of the ground than the one they played. It’s odd, isn’t it. I don’t recall Harvey ever playing as a specialist forward.
Well sadly it ain’t working out for us, not our year.Plenty of great coaches are responsible different area of the ground than the one they played.
Has he got boys?Next week will probably be Brad Hill's 100th game as a Saint. Hope the club makes it an occasion, because after a slow start I think he's been great for the club, Lyon is getting the best out of him that's for sure.
You always appreciate something you really have to work for.I've got a theory that those taken as Rookies after not making it in the draft, are a lot more appreciative of being an AFL player.
Those taken early in the draft are precious little millennials who think that they should just get a pay rise every contract , and hugs, and play as shit as they like.

Surely its time we get a genuine legend key forward to come in part time and work with Max's craft? Still can't believe we rejected Lloyd, what a stinker of a decision. Get Derm or Dunstall in, ANYONE to screw the kid's head in
He looks to be visibly hobbled to me.I was disappointed with the performance of Steele. In a match that we lost by 2 points, the difference was Horne-Francis. He smashed us through the middle then ran on to help out in attack and defence. He was Steele's direct opponent but Steele was unable to match Horne-Francis' speed or stamina and while Steele performed quite well at times, he didn't hurt Port anywhere near as much as Horne-Francis hurt us.
His posture needs to be more like Joe Daniher and less like Dustin Fletcher for a start. He needs to get bust, his career is falling away. Get some fire in that belly and do whatever it takes to be The King of Kings.King looks really depressed to he honest. See him around Hampton Street regularly, just doesn't look like an upbeat happy person.
Looks like the weight of the world is on his shoulders. Sad really, and I have empathy for him if he is going through any mental health battles. Hopefully I am wrong.
As a footballer, he is never going to amount to much I am afraid. He is a Rhys Stanleytype IMO. Has some natural gifts you think would make them a gun, but just not a natural footballer.PLAYERCARDSTART1Rhys Stanley

Staggering how weak he is in the contest. Not getting the ball is one thing, but the amount of times he let's his opponent mark is frightening. I would be shocked if he isn't the worst full forward in the comp when it comes to the opposition marking it in a contest.
I would put him in the reserves for the rest of the year and see if he can learn some ruck skills. Needs to put on 6-8kg of pure muscle in the off season.
Need to somehow take the pressure of him. It's obvious he is not a star and will never be one. Expectations must change. However, needs to be careful he doesn't fade away into obscurity completely. Can still carve out a decent career if he is up for the hard work.
Interesting view SS. Both players struggled to get on park this year though. I really liked what I saw from them when they got back. Time will tell and we'll see how they go for the rest of the year but output is down since they got going again.Nice statement , totally lacking in evidence.
When has Clark been less fit?
Dow has no cardiovascular fitness, but i'm not seeing him do great stuff even at the start of the game.
He was a dud at Carlton and we bought the dud.
SOS should be sacked for knowing what he was and still getting him.
That's all well and good but Port were ripe for the picking and we lacked the skill to get it done.At last sense!
The Chicken Little brigade alive n well !!
We were smashed out of the middle all day - we are effectively playing with THE worst midfield in the comp
Lost by 2 points
Our defence is rock solid
HB line is elite - NAS/Sincs both hard to stop at once
Marshall forward worked
Yes we need to free King up, get him up the ground but time to experiment now
I’d give Wilson a spell - Hastie/Garcia/Pou another taste
Like to see Heath this year too

That kind of sucks though, doesn't it?It's all confidence for Higgins. If he gets the first then he'll slot them from anywhere.
