I think he could go okay on a wing. He is quick. Good long kick. Can take a mark. Defensive running is pretty good. can lay a tackle.
Ticks a lot of boxes.

I thought modern wing was about being able to run all day and put yourself in the right position defensively? Not any of those other things in particular.

Wilson offers the ability to run the lines, can defend & launch attacks. He’s hardened & experienced.
Hughes can certainly defend allowing Logue up the ground.

Honestly the club should have parked Wilson on a wing at Peel round one to train him in the position. They knew he wasn't going to make it as a defender so why keep him there?

Historically the manufacturer takes a punt based on the variants spreading in the northern hemisphere and hopefully we get that as a majority of the imported infections.

Doesn't always work out, it's a numbers game but whichever gets here first and gets a foothold will be the one that spreads and it's not always the one expected.

I like Hughes but he's a dumbarse. Was responsible for at least one Carlton goal at a crucial time on the weekend because he couldn't work out that it was better to be caught holding the ball rather than let the ball spillout at half back.

Its concerning that Henry has done a calf. He's a speed machine and calves can be notoriously difficult to manage. Getting them at a young age is a bad sign.

Logue is an upgrade.
Walters is an upgrade for forward line. Would rather Henry for wing/half back
Wilson is half back and allows Clark or Hughes to be wing.

Wilson actually looked pretty good in pre-season.
At worst he's been great depth to have available if Clark/Walker went down, but he hasn't been required.
Can't see him getting another deal unless he pulls out a special second half.

Not necessarily. He would be the #1 cover should Walker or Clark go down with injury. He could also replace Aish when Aish is playing back. Hes also useful if both wingers go down (like now) and we want to play Clark on the wing.
When Chappie comes back he replaces Hughes not Wilson.
Wilson has experience, speed, rebound and elite kicking. Most of all he has purple blood and his long stint at Peel should have sharpened his passion.
A good game from Willo on the weekend and he can play finals.

Great interview with Wilson on the Dockers YouTube channel pre game (one with Ryan as well). Came across as a great guy and all credit to him complimented the current depth of the team and said it’s exactly where we all want to be for the greater good of the club.
